June 12 is the anniversary of President Harry Truman signing the Women's Armed Services Integration Act in 1948. This act was a momentous step in the direction of equality in military service by officially enabling women to serve as permanent, regular members of the United States military. 🇺🇸

Especially for today, let’s honor and recognize the service and sacrifices of all women who have worn the uniform and are currently serving. ❤️🤍💙
