Thank you Hartford Wolfpack for hosting an amazing collection drive for Boxes to Boots! Fans were so generous and the players were happy to load our cars full of goodies! They even all took the time to write some cards of appreciation for our troops overseas! A perfect surprise for our Connecticut National Guard care packages that were just shipped out! 🏒🇺🇸

We could use your help! We had a waitlist for Christmas care packages. We traditionally have done Valentine’s Day boxes in the past. We will do more but new this year we want to try something new! Our troops won’t be home for the Super Bowl so we will send the Super Bowl party to our troops !! We will be collecting your favorite Super Bowl snacks ( individual size, can be found ar Dollar Store)Chips, pretzels, party mix, Valentine’s Day candy. Most importantly, we could use lots of cards or encouragement!
We have 1 unit in a gery remote area so we think junk food sncks will be a fun surprise! 🥨🏈
Items can be dropped off in our collection box at 100 Harding St, Suite 108 Berlin, CT up until Sat 1/31.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make Operation Cares 2025 a huge success! 1809 care packages shipped off this year! This would not have been possible without our incredible sponsors: NBC CT, Comcast, American Eagle Financial Credit Union, SpaceFitters. A special thanks to all in our community who helped out with donations and all who came out to help wrap! What an amazing day! 🇺🇸❤️

Update- we are working swiftly with the Post Office to get these packages to our troops! I am very confident they will be on their way by the end of the week. We are also receiving help to find our missing packages as of this afternoon .😊

Still no offer to help locate any of our missing care packages from the post office nevermind offering assistance to get our HOLIDAY care packages back on the road.

Kristen Gauvin, president of Boxes to Boots, is pleading for help from Washington, D.C. after over 800 holiday care packages for U.S. troops overseas were returned by USPS after failing to pass through customs.

I wanted to give our supporters some positive news. I also want to thank our State Representative Donna Veach for getting me in contact with Senator Blumenthal’s office. I spoke to someone on his team Friday and was pleasantly surprised by a personal call from him on Saturday!
He is taking all of our concerns very seriously and has assured me that he and his office will be thoroughly researching all of the disgraceful negligence we have endured since 11/16/25 when we shipped all of our care packages. He has me feeling so hopeful that we are very close to finding our missing packages and hopefully getting them back out for delivery very soon. I am very grateful for both of State Rep Veach and Senator Blumenthal’s prompt attention! 😊🇺🇸
