“Berkeley...Is” is a visual land acknowledgement. It honors the land we live on and the ongoing presence of the Ohlone community. Every plant, animal, and landmark in it was drawn by hand, then digitally pieced together.

Come meet the hands behind every hand-drawn detail: lead artist Hannah Pae, Berkeley YouthWorks artists D’Aryn Brooks Jr. and Ariba Talukder, Vincent Medina and Louis Trevino of mak-'amham/Café Ohlone, and the Library’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion team.

Berkeley...Is Mural Reception
• Saturday, October 17
• 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
• Central Library, 2090 Kittredge St.

Busy that morning? You can visit the mural any time the library is open. Find it on the third floor of Central Library, along the hallway leading to the Community Meeting Room.

This mural was made possible by the Berkeley Public Library Foundation.
