MRRC’s K-12 department has one last program for you for this school year!

Our Move-In Scholarship drops today. It is designed to serve low-income first generation students of color but is open to all high school seniors. This scholarship is meant to cover the costs associated with moving after high school graduation, such as transportation, furniture, first month’s rent, etc. Five Winners will be awarded a prize of $200!

Celebrate your achievements with FREE graduation photos at some of UC Berkeley’s most iconic spots—Doe Library, Sather Gate, and Hearst North Field 📸🌿

Need to touch some grass? Lucky for you, MRRC is hosting a craft day like no other, where we’ll ground ourselves through a calm nature walk and a picnic craft session!! 🪴💐

🌸🌺Join MRRC, IDEAS, and the YWCA for a moment of healing and wellness as we share a space that caters to those who are undocumented, mixed-status, and/or allies. Together, we will share thoughts, feelings, and experiences as a community while we lean on one another in these difficult times. We will have perfume oil bath salt making, followed by a conversational healing circle. The event will close with a few minutes of chanting, breath work, and movement. This event is open to the whole multicultural community and will be a safe space as we heal together

MRRC’s k-12 department was so pleased to welcome Gunderson High school from San Jose for our annual A Day in Berkeley (ADIB) program. We had such a blast with games, icebreakers, campus tours, and amazing insight from all of our volunteers and panelists 🌷🌼🐣

This scholarship is designed to support you in creating a clean and comfortable space, whether that means stocking up on cleaning supplies, self-care essentials, or anything that helps you feel refreshed as the season changes 🌱

📢 Host for MRRC’s Senior Weekend 2026! 📢

Are you a UC Berkeley student looking to make a meaningful impact? 💙💛 Join us in hosting recently admitted first-generation, low-income, mixed-identifying students of color for Senior Weekend from Thursday, April 16th to Sunday, April 19th!

🏡 What is Senior Weekend?
Senior Weekend is a four-day, three-night program that gives newly admitted high school seniors the chance to experience life at Cal! Hosted by Mixed @ Berkeley (MRRC), students will participate in workshops, campus tours, and activities while staying with current Berkeley students—that’s where you come in!

✨ Why Host?
By opening up your dorm, apartment, house, or co-op (no fraternity/sorority housing allowed), you’re helping these mixed-identifying students feel welcomed, supported, and excited about their future at UC Berkeley! Hosts only need to provide a safe place to sleep and shower—all meals and resources are covered.

✅ What You’ll Do:
✔️ Pick up your hostees Thursday evening and house them until Sunday morning
✔️ Provide a safe & comfortable space for them to stay
✔️ Drop them off and pick them up at designated on-campus locations (~2x per day)
✔️ Stay in touch with MRRC staff throughout the weekend
✔️ Attend a short, mandatory minor-safety training in April
