Ding ding ding!

MRRC’s K-12 department has one last program for you for this school year!

Our Move-In Scholarship drops today. It is designed to serve low-income first generation students of color but is open to all high school seniors. This scholarship is meant to cover the costs associated with moving after high school graduation, such as transportation, furniture, first month’s rent, etc. Five Winners will be awarded a prize of $200!

Celebrate your achievements with FREE graduation photos at some of UC Berkeley’s most iconic spots—Doe Library, Sather Gate, and Hearst North Field 📸🌿

🕑 30-minute time slots available from 2–6 PM
🎉 Bring your cap, gown, flags, or any cultural attire you’d like to represent

Need to touch some grass? Lucky for you, MRRC is hosting a craft day like no other, where we’ll ground ourselves through a calm nature walk and a picnic craft session!! 🪴💐

Join us this Thursday to make clay ornaments adorned with the flowers and leaves we find on our walk! There will be snacks and insomnia cookies 🍪

🌸🌺Join MRRC, IDEAS, and the YWCA for a moment of healing and wellness as we share a space that caters to those who are undocumented, mixed-status, and/or allies. Together, we will share thoughts, feelings, and experiences as a community while we lean on one another in these difficult times. We will have perfume oil bath salt making, followed by a conversational healing circle. The event will close with a few minutes of chanting, breath work, and movement. This event is open to the whole multicultural community and will be a safe space as we heal together

MRRC’s k-12 department was so pleased to welcome Gunderson High school from San Jose for our annual A Day in Berkeley (ADIB) program. We had such a blast with games, icebreakers, campus tours, and amazing insight from all of our volunteers and panelists 🌷🌼🐣

Spring has sprung and MRRC is excited to offer a $300 spring cleaning scholarship for low-income students of color 💐

This scholarship is designed to support you in creating a clean and comfortable space, whether that means stocking up on cleaning supplies, self-care essentials, or anything that helps you feel refreshed as the season changes 🌱
