🏛️🚲 WI NICA had the opportunity to share the power of youth cycling at the Wisconsin Governor’s Bicycle Coordinating Council meeting at the State Capitol this week!

WI NICA Executive Director Renee Griswold and Director of Coaching & Education Mike McGarry provided an overview of NICA, but the real stars of the presentation were our student-athletes. Aaron and Zach from MKE MTB, Aubrey from Neenah High School, and Greta from Fox Valley Composite shared how mountain biking has impacted their lives through confidence, friendships, leadership and adventure.

Our message to the Council was simple: safe cycling infrastructure and bicycle education matter. They create opportunities for young people across Wisconsin to ride, explore, grow, and thrive.

The Council asked thoughtful questions and showed great enthusiasm for the impact youth cycling is having in communities throughout the state.

Thank you to our student-athletes for representing WI NICA so well and for reminding everyone that investing in bikes is really an investment in kids. 💚🚵‍♀️🚵‍♂️
