This year as Adalai’s mentor has been one of the greatest honors of my life, and I can’t let this moment pass without bragging on her a little.

Adalai is built different. Any 14 year old who wakes up at 4:30am for morning Pilates and reads without ever using a bookmark is special. That kind of discipline is rare at any age.

Every phase of competition she approached with intentionality. She wanted the judges to truly know her, not just see a polished version of her. And her love for the Miss America Organization? Contagious. You couldn’t be around her without catching it.

But what makes her truly stand out is her heart. She thrived in a sisterhood setting, showing up as a constant encourager to her peers rather than a competitor. She welcomed feedback and criticism, no sugarcoating allowed. She wanted the truth, because she wanted to grow and be her best.

It has been an honor getting to know Adalai, not just as a teen queen, but as a young woman determined to make the world a better place.

She will always be my girl. I am so blessed to know her and love her. 🤍👑

What an honor it has been to be your mentor this year. The words that best describe your year are strength, confidence, graciousness, and kindness. You entered this year determined to be exactly who God created you to be, and the Kennedy who walked into Miss Arkansas this year was a testament to that determination. The smile on your face reflected the joy that competing brought you every time you stepped onto the stage.

Your mock interviews always left me in awe. Your passion for women’s health and maternal care shines through every time you speak on the topic. I have no doubt that you will help change the conversation in this state for new moms. Each day, you are gaining experience and taking steps toward your dream career. Your future patients will be incredibly fortunate to have you in their corner.

Kennedy, you have developed a healthy system for managing your anxiety, and you genuinely love helping others find solutions for theirs. You handle every situation with grace, and your words are always thoughtful and kind. I have watched you be a true friend to everyone you encounter in this organization. You are always ready with a smile, a hug, or a word of encouragement. The bond the six of you shared this year has been a true blessing to witness.

Thank you for sharing this year with me. You have encouraged me and taught me so much about resilience, courage, and leading with kindness. I will always be a part of your life, just as you will always be a part of mine. ❤️

It has been such an honor to be your mentor this year. From the very beginning, it has been a joy to watch you step into new challenges, grow in confidence, and become the leader you were meant to be. The way you have embraced every opportunity to learn, serve, and push yourself has been truly inspiring, and I am so proud of all that you have accomplished.

I have loved getting to spend this year beside you, not only as your mentor, but also as your personal makeup artist, one of your biggest cheerleaders, and apparently the person who cries every time you step on stage. Watching you dance is such a gift. You have an incredible ability to tell a story through your talent and draw people into every performance. The passion and strength you bring to the stage are impossible to ignore, and I am constantly in awe of the way you use your gifts to encourage others.

Thank you for letting me be part of your journey this year. It has been a privilege to encourage you, celebrate you, and watch you become the remarkable young woman you are. I cannot wait to see your story unfold because I know you are going to continue making a difference wherever you go.

I am constantly reminded of what a remarkable woman Mae is, and her performance on the Miss Arkansas stage is just a glimpse into the amazing life that she lives.

Mae is the kind of person who leaves every room better than she found it. Through her passion for mental health advocacy through her CSI, BeYOUtifully You, she encourages others to share their stories, seek help when they need it, and know they are never alone. As a dancer, she brings beauty, discipline, and artistry to everything she does. As a leader, she leads with grace, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to serving others.

I have watched her pour her heart into her community, her CSI, and the people around her. The confidence, dedication, and authenticity she brings to everything she does are truly inspiring.

From the very first note to the final interview answer, Apple Naomi Dennie poured every piece of herself into the Miss Arkansas stage — and it was phenomenal to witness.

As Miss Greater Little Rock, Apple has spent this year showing up with radical authenticity, using her voice to advocate for fentanyl abuse prevention through her CSI and reminding every person in that room that real stories matter.

But beyond the crown, beyond the stage, what moved me most is who she is when no one is watching. The teens and titleholders who seek her out as a safe space. The quiet moments where she pours into others the way she pours into herself. She is a friend, a role model, and a mentor in every sense of the word.

She worked for every single moment of this year — and yes, WORKED that Preliminary Fitness Award. Every rep, every early morning, the discipline it took showed up in every phase of competition.
