Congratulations to our board member, Jason Williams, PsyD on his appointment to Vice Chair for Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health in the Department of Psychiatry at UAMS!

🌟 Announcing two leadership appointments in the UAMS Department of Psychiatry, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, effective September 1.

🏥 Dr. Srinivasa Gokarakonda has been named Division Director for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Board certified in psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, and addiction medicine, he has served as Associate Division Director, Medical Director of the Six Bridges Clinic, and Section Chief of Behavioral Health at Arkansas Children's Hospital. He is also President of the Arkansas Council on Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

🏥 Dr. Jason Williams has been named Vice Chair for Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health in the Department of Psychiatry. He holds the Belinda H. and Robert L. Shults Endowed Chair in Child Behavioral Health and serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Mental and Behavioral Health Officer at Arkansas Children's, where he has led the expansion of behavioral health services since 2023.

Congratulations to Drs. Gokarakonda and Williams. These appointments reflect their continued commitment to advancing child and adolescent mental health care across our institutions.
