🌪️June is Pet Emergency Preparedness Month! 🌪️

Here in Arkansas, we know that severe weather can happen any time of year. From tornadoes and flash flooding to ice storms and extended power outages, having an emergency plan for your pets is just as important as having one for the rest of your family.

Take time this month to prepare a pet emergency kit that includes:
✅ At least 3 days of food and water
✅ Current vaccination and medical records
✅ Medications and first aid supplies
✅ Updated ID tags and microchip information
✅ Leashes, carriers, and comfort items
✅ Recent photos of your pet in case you become separated

Don't forget to identify pet-friendly evacuation locations before an emergency occurs. Not all shelters and hotels accept pets, so planning ahead can save valuable time when every minute counts. Practice evacuation drills with your pet and other family members so that should the need for evacuation arise, you and your pet will be better prepared and less stressed.

Arkansas weather can change quickly—but being prepared helps ensure your pets stay safe no matter what comes your way.
