Last Friday night, 9/18, we had an awesome youth game night! The youth enjoyed some food, board games, and an intense game of Rock, Paper, Scissors, Clash. This game night in particular was unique, as it was also the night of our Hot Seat event. The youth got the opportunity to ask our youth and church leaders any question they wanted answered about God and their faith. The youth brought great questions with some of them went spiritually deep. We thank God for the wisdom He gave our leaders to answer every single question asked.

Keep an eye out for details on our next youth game night!

Two nights ago we finished our youth message series called, "The Spiritual Firefighter". We looked into the life of a firefighter and how their job can teach us about our spiritual walk with God. A firefighter’s duty is to protect and rescue people from fires, natural disasters, and other dangers. As Christians, our walk with God doesn't end at Salvation, because once we are saved we then have a mission to go out and make disciples. By sharing the Gospel with someone, we get to partake in God's spiritual mission of rescuing the lost from the fires of hell.

AGES 12-18

Come out this Friday night for our next Youth Game Night! This game night will be a special one. Along with the free food and games, we'll also have a group of our church ministers joining us for our Hot Seat event that night. The Hot Seat will be an opportunity for our youth students to ask them ANY questions they would have about God, the Bible, their faith, etc. This will also be done in a way where the student doesn't feel called out or like they are put on the spot. Youth, you don't want to miss out on this event. More details below! Hope to see you there!

When: Friday, September 18
Where: The Haven Church (2722 Military Rd, Benton, AR 72015)
Time: 7pm to 9pm

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Heinz Otzoy-Orozco (Youth Pastor) either on messenger or call/text at 405-503-7272.

Our youth game nights made a return last Friday night! 🔥 Even with a small group this time, we still "tore the house down"! 😆 These kids had a blast socializing and messing around, but we also got some time to talk about their walk with the Lord.

We discussed the need to be evaluating ourselves to make sure we are living out the word of God, rather than just hearing it. By spending time in God's word and prayer often, we can guarantee that God will meet us where we are at. As long as we continue to spend time with God, we'll see growth in our lives and a closer relationship with our Heavenly Father.

Our game night ended with multiple rounds of Ultimate Hide-And-Seek in the dark, in which the youth used up their last bit of energy. 🤣 We thank God for a great game night! Keep an eye out for updates on our next youth game night.

AGES 12-18

We will be finishing up our Ignite Youth message series, "The Speach Effect", tonight. In this series we have talked about the power of the tounge, and how it has the ability to bring life or death. We've discussed how we should ultimately be using our words to glorify God, and what that looks like in our daily life. Join us at The Haven Church on Wednesday nights at 7:00pm. Can't wait to see you!

Proverbs 18:21 (ESV)
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.

Ignite Youth Movie Night went well! We watched the movie David, while enjoying an ice cream sundae bar. The movie provided multiple Godly lessons, but the main one we took from it was that we should not fear when we face the "giants" in our lives. For if we have God with us, we will overcome!
