Thursday, May 7th 2026, Class XX participated in Community Health Day. The class had the opportunity to visit Encore Heart Hospital, the Saline County Library, Birch Tree Communities, and the River Center.

Throughout the day, they learned about the many services Encore Heart Hospital provides to the residents of Saline County and discovered what an amazing resource the Saline County Library is for the community. The class also enjoyed painting with the wonderful members of Birch Tree Communities and exploring the River Center.

Overall, it was a fantastic and meaningful day filled with learning, connection, and community involvement.

Class XX has officially completed History Day, and what a great experience it was!

We started by touring the Saline County Courthouse, where we gained a deeper understanding of how our county operates. From there, we visited the Saline County History & Heritage Society, where we explored local lineage and historical records.

Next, we stopped by the Gann Museum to learn about Dr. Gann and his impact on the community, followed by a visit to the Bauxite Historical Association Museum to discover the important role aluminum played in shaping the area’s history.

We even had the chance to enjoy a meal inside the historic building that houses the Burger Shack, adding a fun and unique touch to the day.

Overall, it was a day full of learning, exploration, and great memories!

Yesterday (Wednesday, February 4th), Class XX participated in Nonprofit Day! They had the opportunity to visit Bright Futures Bryant and the Bryant Youth Association, along with hearing from so many amazing nonprofits right here in Saline County that are doing incredible work for our community.

This day is always inspiring—and a little hard—because how do you choose just one nonprofit for a class project when they are all so wonderful? With this class, I have no doubt that no matter what they decide, they will be highly successful and make a meaningful impact on many.

A huge thank you to Bright Futures Bryant for welcoming us onto your campus and sharing the incredible work you are doing for the children of our future. Thank you to the Bryant Youth Association for the tour, for sharing your mission, and for hosting us while the other nonprofits presented their work.

Thank you Farmers Bank and Trust for sponsoring our lunch!

We are so grateful for each of you and look forward to another successful year! 💛

Congratulations on Talayia Johnson for receiving the GOAT award from Max Hicks
