New test results from our BWTF team recorded this Thursday morning 💚🌊

We found an exceedance at the Loch Arbor Beach sampling location, meaning the sample indicated high levels of bacteria in the water.

🌊 Better data. Better decisions. Healthier beaches.

The Blue Water Task Force is expanding water quality monitoring in Monmouth County through an exciting collaboration with Monmouth University's Urban Coast Institute. 🙌 Surfrider Foundation

Our volunteers collect water samples from multiple locations near coastal lake outflows, while Professor Jason Adolf and his laboratory team perform the scientific testing that makes this program possible. ☺️

Together, we're increasing monitoring, improving access to water quality information, and helping protect everyone who enjoys New Jersey's beaches. 👍🏽

A sincere thank you to Jason and the entire Monmouth University team for their expertise and commitment to our coast. 💙

🤝 Strong partnerships create healthier oceans. 🤝

The Blue Water Task Force is proud to collaborate with Monmouth University's Urban Coast Institute to strengthen water quality monitoring along the Jersey Shore. 💙

While our dedicated volunteers collect samples from beaches throughout Monmouth County, Professor Jason Adolf, his staff, and student researchers provide the laboratory analysis that turns those samples into trusted water quality data. 🌊

This partnership combines community action with scientific excellence, helping us better understand local water conditions and protect public health. ☺️

ATTN BUSINESSES! SIGN OUR BOARD! 🌊🏄

Surfrider Foundation is organizing a US Sign the Surfboard tour to demonstrate coastal business opposition to offshore oil drilling. Coastal recreation, tourism, and fishing industries provide around 3.3 million jobs and $250 billion annually for the U.S. economy. In NJ alone, coastal tourism and recreation are worth 80k jobs and $3.6 billion GDP annually. These industries depend on a clean and healthy coastal and ocean environment. Surfrider Foundation

This surfboard started in FL at the end of 2025, and the Jersey Shore Chapter is hosting it next week. It will be presented to the Department of Interior, White House, and Bureau of Ocean Energy Management as part of our Coastal Recreation Hill Day in April.
