Seriously… Shell Yeah!

On September 12, 2026, community sponsors, volunteers and a whole bunch of runners got together for a super fun 5K along the legendary boardwalk of Point Pleasant, NJ. To some, it was simply a beautiful, enjoyable event…but for The Ocean Is Female (The OisF)- it was truly so much more.

As a community-funded organization that provides surf therapy for survivors of abuse, as a small Monmouth county-based, grassroots operation that connects children who have been impacted by violence to swimming and surf camps, programming we provide at NO cost to survivors, The Shell Yeah 5K is far more than a picturesque jog… it’s a gift that helps us to continue to build a legacy of healing and hope.

This year, the raised over 8K for The Ocean Is Female.

Every sponsor. Every volunteer. Every runner. Your presence at the Shell Yeah 5K changes the lives, stories and identities of local survivors… all because you showed out for the and you showed up for THE OCEAN IS FEMALE !

While these two words only begin to capture the depth of our gratitude, from ALL of us at The Ocean Is Female (The OisF), on behalf of the families we currently serve and the future of an organization that will continue to exist through your support-
