National Night Out at Fred Lind Manor

Fred Lind Manor was proud to once again host National Night Out, an annual community-building event held on the first Tuesday of August. Residents, neighbors, and friends gathered for an evening of connection, celebration, and community spirit.

With 17th Avenue closed for the occasion, attendees enjoyed a community BBQ, live music, and plenty of dancing. The event also included a visit from the Seattle Police Department, providing an opportunity to strengthen relationships with local public safety partners.

The strong turnout reflected the welcoming and vibrant community that makes Fred Lind Manor such a special place. Events like National Night Out help foster meaningful connections among residents and neighbors while celebrating the importance of community engagement.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this year's event such a memorable success.

Through the Mercy Brown Bag Program, thousands of older adults in Alameda County receive nutritious groceries and—just as importantly—a sense of dignity and connection. Every month, volunteers and donors make it possible for more than 10,000 seniors to enjoy healthy meals without having to choose between food and other essentials.
