A note from Jennifer Cameron on the passing of a beloved Samaritan:
My precious friend, Raquel Miller, has graduated to Heaven and we will see her again.
It has been an honor to be Raquel’s friend for over 6 years. She possessed one of the biggest servant hearts I’d ever known, always willing to help; not just talking about it but actually digging in and working when you needed help.

She was also Fun! & a believer in celebrating life's milestones. When I moved into my current house, I was "all in" for skipping my birthday & feeling overwhelmed, but she wouldn't have of it. She invited people and organized a music and dancing birthday party for me & it was a blast.
Her faith in Jesus was her anchor, and she was an inspiration to all who knew her. She came alongside countless people and helped them to advance in their faith walk. I have really missed her daily encouragement, dancing with her in the Rose Festival parades and volunteering with her at Good Samaritan Ministries Galas and other events.

I am confident that she is dancing with Jesus in Heaven and in a place more beautiful and peaceful than we can humanly comprehend. I watched her in the midst of many trials, rising above her own issues and reaching out to help and encourage others. Selfless was an understatement to describe Raquel. There were seasons when she’d send me encouraging Bible verses every single morning. She carried the Joy of the Lord always, even in the sparkle in her eyes, when ALS took away her ability to otherwise communicate. She had unmatched energy from an early age which would leave me wondering “How does she do all that?”

ALS took much of the life right out from her but never took away the sparkle in her eye or her unshakable Faith. She fought the battle with this horrible disease with so much bravery and grace. Upon her ALS diagnosis, I had white bracelets made & handed out with her favorite Bible verse:

Matthew 5:16 Let Your Light Shine.

She was honored at the One More Time Around Again Marching Band’s Parkrose High School performance in 2025 with us all wearing ALS ribbons of support.
Many dancers and band members at this year’s Rose Festival parade were asking about her. If you knew her, you loved her.

She was a devoted and extremely proud Mom, amazing daughter, sister and an incredible friend.

Until we meet again my precious friend……

Per the attached, there will be a Celebration of Life at Living Hope Fellowship Church on Sunday, July 26th at 2:30pm with a Potluck to follow. Address: 3350 SW 182nd Ave. Beaverton, OR 97003
