Candlelighters' volunteers help make our mission possible 💛

You might have seen Sophia volunteering at one of our family events, or tabling to raise awareness about Candlelighters.

Our team met Sophia by chance at an event, where she became inspired by Candlelighters' cause and decided to get involved!

For those considering volunteering, Sophia offers this advice: “The best thing to do is show up with a positive attitude!”

Let's meet our final 2026 Ride for a Child Honored Child–Zeke!

Zeke is two-and-a-half years old and is all about things that are fast, fierce, and loud—cars, trains, planes and dinosaurs 🦖🏎️

Zeke is also a fan of the Toy Story movies - his favorite character is Buzz Lightyear! 🚀

Zeke was diagnosed with leukemia, a type of blood cancer.

Zeke is one of our Ride For A Child - Candlelighters for Children With Cancer Honored Children!

Every year, our Ride for a Child cyclists fundraise in honor of children who have been diagnosed with cancer, culminating in the Cycle Oregon Rally!

Meet Joshua, one of our 2026 Ride for a Child honored children! 🚴

Joshua is ten-years-old, has one older sister, and three cats 🐈

Joshua is a big Godzilla fan! In his free time, he likes to create his own creatures and Godzillas.

Joshua was diagnosed with a Wilms Tumor in 2017. So far, his favorite memory from Candlelighters is going to the pumpkin patch during one of our fall events! 🎃

We visited Legacy Health yesterday to serve lunch at Randall Children's Hospital!🎗️

Every other month, Candlelighters staff stops by Randall to serve a catered meal to in-patient families.

Candlelighters' catered meals in the hospital and our other in-hospital programs are made possible because of our donors and supporters.

Say hi to Connor, one of our 2026 Ride for a Child honored children! 🚴💛

Connor is fifteen-years-old and enjoys PC gaming, digital art, cooking, baking, playing piano, and going on walks 🎨🎮

Connor was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2022. He has enjoyed boat rides on Lake Oswego with Candelighters 🛥️

Calling all Candlelighters parents! 📣

Join us at our Parents Night Out event on Saturday, June 27! We'll be enjoying a night out as a group at Red Robin in Beaverton, food on us!🍔

Childcare is included at this event, children must be potty trained and 5-12 years old. Child dropoff is at 4:45 pm, then please head to Red Robin at 5pm for dinner!

Due to limited space, this is a first-come, first-served event.

Meet Azeena–one of this year's Ride for a Child honored children! 🚴🎗️

Azeena is a six-year-old with lots of hobbies!

She loves to dance, run, jump rope, rock climb, and enjoys being active.

Azeena was diagnosed with stage IV Hepatoblastoma, a type of liver cancer. So far, she has loved going to all of Candlelighters’ Halloween activities! 🎃
