About Buzzy's Bees
The name, idea, and passion behind the Buzzy’s Bees Foundation is our son Hudson who passed on May 15th, 2016. He passed in the middle of the night unexpectedly, and our world was forever changed. We lovingly called him Buzzy; thus, Buzzy’s Bees was born. When Hudson passed, we had a tremendous amount of support from family and close friends, and we could not fathom any family g

oing through something this life-altering without even a fraction of what we had been blessed with in terms of resources, love, and compassion. We wanted to offer this to other families in a similar situation. Buzzy’s officially launched in January 2017 with a launch party and auction in Downtown Portland. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. 100% of your donations are tax-deductible and will go to a family experiencing the unexpected loss of a child. Emotional Support:
Through partnerships with local artists and writers, we are able to help create individualized memorials of children for their families through the Give Grief a Voice Project. Financial Support:
Expenses upon unexpectedly losing a child are unpredictable and astronomical. Even with prudent planning, there is no way to fully prepare for such a loss. Each year Buzzy’s awards financial gifts to grieving families to assist with the variety of expenses that arise following the unexpected loss of a child.

What a wonderful way to celebrate 10 years of Buzzy’s Bees Golf Tournaments.

Each year brought a new theme, a shared mission, and countless memories. As we gathered for our finale celebration on Saturday, it was incredibly special to walk down memory lane and reflect on why we do this work and the families who inspire our mission every day.

We are deeply grateful for every participant, donor, sponsor, volunteer, and supporter who helped make these events not only successful fundraisers, but meaningful and memorable experiences. Thank you for being part of this journey and for helping us create a decade of impact, connection, and remembrance. 💛⛳️

As we prepare to say goodbye to our beloved tradition of gathering on the golf course, we can’t help but reflect on the past 10 years of memories made together. This event has been so much more than a fundraiser for Buzzy’s Bees — it has been a way to honor and remember the precious children whose lives were taken far too soon. We are endlessly grateful for every swing, every laugh, every story shared, and every person who helped make these years so meaningful. ⛳️ ❤️ 📷

To the moms holding their babies close.
To the moms carrying life and hope.
To the moms navigating infertility or pregnancy after loss.
To the moms whose arms ache for the child they miss.
To the mothers grieving miscarriage, stillbirth, infant loss, or the loss of a child at any age.
To the women celebrating today, and the women simply surviving it.

Mother’s Day can hold both love and heartbreak at the same time. Please know that your motherhood matters. Your child matters. Your grief is seen and you are not alone.

One Last Round: Buzzy’s Bees 10th Anniversary Golf Finale

For a decade, our community has gathered on the greens to turn a simple game of mini golf into something much more meaningful. We’ve putted, laughed, and gathered to support bereaved parents through the Buzzy’s Bees Golf Tournament. It’s been an incredible journey, but all great things must eventually reach the 18th hole.

As we hit our 10th anniversary, our planning committee has decided to retire this beloved event. While we are hanging up the putters, our heart remains the same. This final tournament is a celebration of the community we’ve built and the work we will continue to do.
