Xochitl (pronounced SO-chee) is as cute as a button, 7 month old pug girl that is ready to bring some s***k into your life! This little dynamo is a typical puppy...very energetic, happy, and playful. She is looking for an active home preferably with another young dog as a playmate. Like all puppies she has energy for days so you will need to be ready for the energy puppy life brings.She does great with potty training and is just a perfect little girl waiting for the perfect family to scoop her up.Xochitl will need a home where people are home more than not, she should not be left all day long. If you think you have the stamina to keep up with the perfect girl, she can't wait to hear from you!

Last year local artist Orion Landau made this perfect spooky season Pug design for us and we had shirts stickers and hoodies made!
We still have tshirts and stickers available and very limited hoodies...we also have kids sizes!

Gordita came from Mexico a couple months ago. We thought she would be a quick adoption but of course…..guess again!
Her initial lab showed elevated kidney levels and a bad UTI. We started treating the UTI, but every time we would recheck it with a culture a new bacteria had started growing.

We decided we should get her checked with ultrasound, so she went to a specialist today and it looks like she has some masses in her bladder😢😞
They are doing another test to see if it comes back as cancerous. They said it could also be some polyp growths caused by long-standing urinary tract infections.
We will be waiting for the results and will get a game plan in place once we have more
info.

You have probably heard that we have 2 dogs with megaesophagus in the rescue currently....which is just crazy!
We love both of these wonderful boys and are so hoping that a special adopter will be interested in adopting.
Monchiez is 2 yrs old and available now and Pugsly is 5 yrs old and should be available soon.

We incurred quite a big expense getting these two diagnosed...xrays, labwork and specialist appointments! We are very grateful that Pug Squad reached out and gave us a $1500 grant to help pay for this!

Brunto and Santino found themselves living outside for the past year after their owner died and no one had time for them. One thing for sure is they were getting plenty of food🤣 They both were VERY overweight.
They boys are so sweet and seemed so happy when they came in to be able to have a home again. Now they are off to their forever home with Kate and Matt and we hear they are doing great!

Athena came to us from Mexico and this girl is a true survivor!
We are attaching the picture of what she looked like when they found her...what a transformation!
She was found very ill with tick disease and had to be hospitalized for about a week until she was strong enough to be discharged. Then she stayed in Mexico for about a month until she was strong enough to travel.
Once she got here she had an eye removed and was spayed. Now she had the last step which was to have both knees repaired.
She has bounced back quickly from the surgery and is doing great and you cannot even recognize her as the same dog.

Of course this makeover did not come cheap, but we know this girl is so worth it and some lucky family will get to adopt her in a couple more months once she is healed from her recent surgery.
