The Caring Closet

We served 2000 students this school year, and our inventory is wiped out.  Please look through your closets and donate any kids clothing you are not using. We take size 3T up to 4X. We asked that the clothing be free of holes and stains, clean, and appropriate for school age children, or on trend with what teens are wearing.

We accept jeans, sweatpants, hoodies, shirts, shorts, athletic attire for PE, jackets, pajamas, seasonal clothing items for holidays, shoes, sandals, hats and gloves, new like swimsuits, holiday dresses, and dress clothes for little kids and teens.  We ask that any socks or underwear donated be brand new.

Our donation shed will be closed June 12 to June 28 while volunteers are on vacation. Please drop your clothing items off at our shed before then or please hold onto them and donate when the shed reopens. The donation shed is unlocked from 8 AM to 4 PM seven days a week. It’s located behind the Tigard Grange at 13770 SW Pacific Hwy. Thank you for your help.

The Caring Closet is currently experiencing a shortage of several essential clothing items. Donations of new or gently used clothing in these categories are greatly needed and sincerely appreciated. If you have any questions, call 503-603-1576.

Men’s sizes L, XL, XXL (sweatpants, athletic shorts, and hoodies)
Boys’ pants (sizes 5, 6, 7, 8)
Boys’ shirts (sizes 5, 10/12, 14/16)
Junior wide-leg or boot cut jeans

Our donation shed is closed while volunteers are on vacation for Spring Break. Please hold onto your donations until March 29th. The shed reopens Sunday, March 29th at 8 am. Thank you for your patience.

We have started our spring appointments and are running low on several items.

We desperately need the following:

•Juniors wide leg jeans all sizes

•Boys hoodies size 5 and 14/16

•Boys shirts size 5 and 14/16

•Gently used tennis shoes for kids all sizes with no holes stains and a good sole on the bottom

• New like sandals and flip-flops for kids and teens

• Girls athletic shorts 5/6, 7/8, 10/12, 14/16

Please take these items to our donation shed. It is unlocked from 8 AM to 4:00 PM 7 days a week. 13770 SW Pacific Hwy, behind the Tigard Grange. 

Please remove all hangers and bag up the items. You can place them in the chute and they will make their way here to the closet. Thank you in advance for your help with this. We appreciate you.

Our donation shed had to close unexpectedly for a couple days, but it reopens tomorrow January 22.

Please Help:

We have served over 700 students and inventory is running low. We need your help to continue to serve our students. 

We are in great need of little girls size 5 and 6 long sleeve shirts. We are also looking for girls pants, preferably jeans sizes 5, 6, 7, and 8.

Amazing community members donated much needed size 10/12 and 14/16 boys long sleeve shirts. We are so grateful for that. We are still lacking in these sizes too, but our racks are empty of 5 and 6 girls jeans and long sleeve shirts.

Our donation shed is closed while our volunteer is on vacation until Nov 23rd. If you have any of these items we desperately need please contact the closet directly at 503-603-1576 for drop off.
