Binky Patrol Comforting Covers

Binky Patrol Comforting Covers We make blankets and give them away to children and teens in need of comfort: ill, abused, homeless, trauma. ANYONE can volunteer. It's fun and easy.

Binky Patrol is an all volunteer, national, non-profit organization that makes and distributes homemade blankets to children born drug-addicted, infected with or fighting other chronic and terminal illnesses, those who are abused, in foster care, or experiencing trauma of any kind. We have chapters throughout the US and would love to have more. All ages and skill levels are welcome. If you have an

open heart, and an hour a month - you can help us change lives. Get your company, group, school, club, or community involved! All blanket types are welcome. As long as they are homemade, soft, washable and from your heart, they are perfect.

As we gear up for our 30-year anniversary, let’s take a moment to reflect on the impact of each blanket we create. Every blanket brings hope and love to someone in need. 💖

Listen to Elijah as he shares his heartfelt experience receiving a Binky while receiving cancer treatment. Seeing the difference our work makes is what drives us at Binky Patrol. Supporting those through tough times is at the heart of our mission.

30 years of helping those around us, and we are only broadening our reach. Want to join us in making a difference and leading with your heart? Check out https://bit.ly/409j1UE to get involved.

One week ago, West Los Angeles Binky Patrol - Crochet, Knitting, and Quilting held their very first Bink-A-Thon! 🌞 A fantastic group of volunteers enjoyed the California sunshine, creating 16 beautiful blankets for children in need—one blanket every 15 minutes!

Bink-A-Thons are a wonderful way to give back to your community. With music, refreshments, and great conversations while making blankets, the time flies and you leave feeling amazing about your positive impact!

Mark your calendars for our national Bink-A-Thon day on October 17! Check out the locations hosting an event to find one near you! 📍

We began in 1996, which means it’s officially (almost) been 30 years! Interested in helping out? Consider one of our 30 year challenges to keep you busy!

Make 30 Blankets: any kind of blankets work! Smaller for babies, larger for teens!
Make 30 Squares: these could be sewn together for one big quilt!
Donate $30: we could always use donations to keep volunteers active and have supplies to make more blankets. More blankets made, more kids helped!
Tell 30 people about us: spread the word! We’d love to get more volunteers and chapters around the country!

Let us know what challenges you complete! Thank you for this idea :)

"Those that need that reminder that they matter, that they aren't forgotten, they're not invisible, they're worthy of love. That's what our blankets do." — Susan Finch, founder, Binky Patrol

St. Marys, Georgia. Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania. Janesville, Wisconsin. Sharon, Wisconsin. And a drop-off near Oregon State University in Corvallis.

Clarks Summit, PA - Binky Patrol 's Pamela Scandale hosted their first Binkathon and got a football team to show up. They made 86 blankets. On their first try.

June 20th is our official 30th anniversary — the day a mention on the Oprah Winfrey Show in 1996 turned us from a 30-day-old Laguna Beach group into a national movement. Some of those original volunteers and chapters are still with us today.

Chapter Spotlight Wednesday! Meet our amazing Binky Patrol North Texas chapter led by the incredible Cheryl Bean! Since opening in 2017, this chapter has grown to about 40 dedicated volunteers!

With groups in Plano and Duncanville, they’re making an extraordinary impact by donating around 300 blankets each month to those in need.

Partnering with local community services, they work tirelessly to spread the Binky Patrol magic and create even more blankets for children. They often host fun-filled Bink-A-Thons, gathering hundreds of volunteers to craft as many blankets as possible!

Want to get involved? Whether you want to join, sponsor, or contribute a blanket, reach out to Cheryl at [email protected] or visit https://bit.ly/3RjQYkF for more info on the North Texas chapter!

Time for another Chapter Spotlight Wednesday! This week is a special week, highlighting our very own Binky Patrol Headquarters: Binky Patrol Comforting Covers . Susan Finch - Solutions Provider created this chapter in 2006, 10 years after creating the first chapter of Binky Patrol in Southern California. Susan works tirelessly to organize the national chapters, secure grants, make and donate blankets, and be a strong support for everyone in the Binky Patrol organization.

Each month, this chapter meets for sewing club to continue making blankets to donate to local alliances. Susan also hosts and produces the Binky Patrol podcast: All Volunteer, All Heart with special guests from around the country. Make sure to check us out through the link in our bio!

This is a BIG thank you to Susan and all she and the Beaverton chapter does for their community. BPHQ is a place we all look to for guidance, inspiration, and support.

Want to get involved, become a sponsor, or join us for the October Bink-A-Thon? Reach out to Susan at [email protected], check the link in our bio, or look at our website for more information!
