Stop by Boscov's in the Beaver Valley Mall to get a 25% off shopping pass! ACPA will be selling passes at the Accessories entrance from 8am to 5pm. Your whole $5 donation goes directly to Adoption Connection, PA, and your pass gets you 25% your entire purchase!

Support children in foster care by shopping at Boscov's! Now until October 21, a $5 donation can get you 25% at Boscov's for their Friends Helping Friends fundraiser! Shopping passes apply at any Boscov's store or online only on Wednesday, October 21, and some products are excluded. Check out the coupon for details.

You can claim your shopping pass by stopping in to the office to donate or by ordering online at adoptionconnectionpa.org/event/boscovs-friends-helping-friends-2 Please note that there is a processing fee when ordering passes online.

Adoption Connection, PA has three ways for you to support youth in foster care this week!

PLAY at our Boo Bingo fundraising event on Saturday, October 17. Pre-registration is now closed, but you can still get tickets at the door.

SHOP at the Boscov's Friends Helping Friends event on Wednesday, October 21. For a $5 donation, you'll receive a 25% off shopping pass just for the day. Stop by the office to get yours, or look for the Adoption Connection, PA table at the Accessories Entrance in the Beaver Valley Mall day of.

EAT at Primanti Bros. in Monaca on Wednesday, October 21, show your server the virtual flyer, and Adoption Connection will receive a donation equal to 20% of your bill. You can also order online, using code DINE2DONATE

Pre-registration for our Boo Bingo fundraiser will be ending soon! We have well over $4,000 in raffle baskets and prizes, so you don't want to miss out on the fun!

You can take this Indigenous Peoples Day to learn about the relationship between Native Americans and the United States Foster Care System. You might be surprised by what you don't know. Did you know that there are federal standards surrounding child welfare cases involving Native children? The Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) was enacted in 1978 in response to unjust removal of Native children from their families to families outside of their Tribes and cultures. Until ICWA as many as 35% of Native children had been removed from their families with 85% being placed outside of their Tribes, despite appropriate family or Tribal members to care for them.*

Take today as an opportunity to listen to the experience of Indigenous Peoples as it relates to foster care, their culture, their perseverance, and their families. Learn a little bit about the people who inhabited the land you're on.

Adoption Connection, PA's Beaver office sits on land once inhabited by the Monongahela People. Later, other displaced groups of Indigenous Peoples resided here like the Shawnee and Wyandot.**
