This morning, members of Cereal City Sunrise Rotary attended a Scouting America breakfast honoring one of our own, Fritz Reasons, who received the prestigious Boyce Award!

It comes as no surprise that Fritz would be recognized with this honor. He is dedicated to giving back to his community, and we are proud to have him as one of our active and committed volunteers. His service and generosity truly reflect the spirit of community involvement.

Fellow Rotarian John Hallacy was also in attendance. John was there to present ne of the first Glotfelty Award and a Boyce Award to other deserving individuals..

Congratulations to Fritz on this well-deserved recognition, and thank you to both Fritz and John for the difference they make in our community!

🎄❤️ Bringing Christmas Joy, Hope & Community Support! ❤️🎄

Cereal City Sunrise Rotary is proud to sponsor the Alano Club of Battle Creek’s Children’s Christmas Party!🎁✨ The holidays are a time for joy, family, and making memories. We’re honored to help bring smiles to children and support families in our community.

The Alano Club plays an important role in providing a welcoming place for people seeking recovery and connection. Recovery affects more than one person — it touches families, children, and entire communities. Supporting recovery means helping build stronger families and brighter futures.

📊There is real reason for hope!

According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), its latest national survey, published in 2026, found that 22.3 million American adults considered themselves recovered or in recovery from a drug or alcohol problem. That represents 73% of adults who reported having experienced a substance-use problem.❤️ These numbers remind us that recovery is possible, hope is real, and supportive communities make a difference.

🎁Every child deserves to experience the magic of Christmas, regardless of the challenges their family may be facing. Through this sponsorship, we’re proud to help make the season a little brighter for local children.

🎶 The Bells Will Be Ringing 🎄❤️

This morning, Cereal City Sunrise Rotary was delighted to welcome Captains Mika and Grace Roinila from The Salvation Army! They always bring a wonderful burst of energy, enthusiasm, and song to our meeting. 🎶😊

Mika shared the results from last year’s Salvation Army Red Kettle Bell Ringing campaign, and we’re ready to rise to the challenge! Our goal this year is to exceed last year’s results and make an even bigger impact in our community. ❤️

📅 Starting Friday, November 6, 2026

📍 Horrocks Farm Market — East Entrance

🔔Interested in volunteering? Contact Cereal City Sunrise Rotary for additional dates and times! Every hour volunteered and every donation given helps The Salvation Army continue its important work supporting individuals and families in our community.

Let’s come together, spread some holiday cheer, and make this year’s campaign our best one yet! Whether you volunteer, donate, or share the word, every little bit helps.

If you have never had the pleasure of meeting Captains Mika and Grace Roinila from The Salvation Army, tomorrow morning is the perfect time to join us! You’ll be warmly welcomed by our Rotary members, enjoy their wonderful music, and feel the excitement and energy they bring to the room!

We can’t wait to welcome them back as they help us kick off another season of Salvation Army bell ringing. They’ll also share their goal for this year—and if last year is any indication, we have a challenge ahead! Our Rotary members helped exceed their goal last year and took home the Golden Kettle! We’re excited to see what we can accomplish together this year as we kick off another bell-ringing season!

Not a Rotary member? No problem! Come visit us, meet some wonderful people, and experience the fellowship and community spirit of Rotary. We would love to see you tomorrow morning!

🫎 **Everyone Needs a Little More MOOSENESS in Their Life!** 🫎

Cereal City Sunrise Rotary was honored to welcome North Star Reach for a program about its incredible camp and the difference it makes in the lives of children with serious health challenges and their families.

So, what exactly is Mooseness? It’s the magic of belonging, the joy of friendship, the courage to try something new, and the feeling of being accepted just as you are. ❤️

Located in Pinckney, Michigan, North Star Reach provides medically supported, fully accessible camp experiences **at no cost to families**. Since opening in 2016, it has created thousands of opportunities for children and families to experience adventure, build confidence, and make lifelong memories.

✨ Maybe the world could use a little more Mooseness—more kindness, more inclusion, more laughter, and more opportunities for everyone to belong.

That’s something worth celebrating!
