What a way to kick off the summer! Our first Bridging the Gap to GEAUX Community Wellness stop at the Charles R. Kelly Community Center was a reminder of what happens when we meet people where they are — neighbors connecting with free health screenings, wellness resources, local services, and each other.

Now we're keeping the momentum going. Join us this Friday, June 26, at the Jewell J. Newman Community Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for stop two — free health screenings, mental wellness resources, connections to local services, and fellowship in a welcoming, no-barrier environment.

All summer long, we're traveling across East Baton Rouge Parish, providing pathways to hope, healing, and opportunity — one community at a time.

Bridging the Gap to GEAUX Community Wellness is back—and our first stop is this Friday, June 12.

While the 6th Annual Bridging the Gap CommUNITY Resource Fair may be over, our commitment to serving the community continues.

The Bridge Center for Hope is proud to bring back Bridging the Gap to GEAUX Community Wellness, our summer outreach initiative designed to bring wellness, resources, and support directly into neighborhoods throughout East Baton Rouge Parish.

These community-focused events provide free health screenings, mental wellness resources, connections to local services, and opportunities for fellowship—all in a welcoming environment where residents can access support close to home. Together, we're helping individuals and families learn about available resources, prioritize their well-being, and strengthen community connections.

As we travel across the parish this summer, our mission remains the same: to meet people where they are and provide pathways to hope, healing, and opportunity.

Thank you to the Baton Rouge community, our dedicated partners, volunteers, and supporters for making the 6th Annual Bridging the Gap CommUNITY Resource Fair an incredible success.

For six years, this event has brought people together to connect, access resources, build relationships, and strengthen our community. What began as a vision has grown into a powerful tradition rooted in collaboration, compassion, and hope.
