What an inspiring evening at our Annual Meeting last night!

We were honored to present the Michael Crespo Visual Artist Fellowship to , recognizing his outstanding artistic contributions and longstanding impact on Baton Rouge’s creative community. The fellowship honors the legacy of the late artist and LSU professor Michael Crespo while celebrating excellence in the visual arts.

The evening began with a moving original poem by Ed Ruzicka, President of the Baton Rouge Poets Society, reflecting on the power of the arts to connect, inspire, and strengthen our community.

We also celebrated the dedicated board members completing their service and welcomed new members who will help guide the Arts Council into its next chapter.

Thank you to everyone who joined us as we reflected on the past year, celebrated the people who make this work possible, and looked ahead to the future of the arts in the Capital Region.
