Real skills. Real jobs. Real impact.

This Wednesday, Rotary welcomes Chancellor Willie Smith of Baton Rouge Community College. An excellent leader of an amazing institution and the numbers don’t lie:

56% enrollment growth since 2018
4,000+ graduates honored at their 30th Commencement
2,771 dual enrollment students across 14 area high schools, up from just 188 in four years
200 high schoolers walked away with BOTH a diploma AND an associate degree this year, at no cost
88% of students receive financial aid, because BRCC believes opportunity shouldn’t have a price tag

This isn’t just a college, it’s a launchpad. Whether you’re 18 or 80, BRCC is putting Baton Rouge to work, breaking down barriers, building real skills, and fueling careers that change lives and strengthen our whole region.

Education isn’t just economic development. It’s quality of life. And BRCC is proof. Baton Rouge Community College

See you Wednesday.
