South Louisiana Council, Scouting America Helena, St. James, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Washington, West Feliciana, and West Baton Rouge. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, and Vermilion.

The South Louisiana Council is formed through the combination of three existing councils, collectively delivering a high-quality Scouting program to co-ed youth across 28 parishes in Louisiana. This program is made possible by dedicated adult volunteers who support Cub Scout Packs, Scouts BSA Troops, Venturing Crews, Sea Scouts, and Exploring Posts and Clubs. The Istrouma Area Council, established

in 1917, serves 14 Louisiana parishes: Ascension, Assumption, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Livingston, Pointe Coupee, St. Founded in 1919, the Calcasieu Area Council provides Scouting programs in six parishes: Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, Jefferson Davis, and Vernon. The Evangeline Area Council, established in 1924, serves eight parishes: Acadia, Evangeline, Lafayette, Iberia, St. Together, these three councils form a unified South Louisiana Council dedicated to strengthening and expanding Scouting opportunities across the region. By combining their rich histories, geographic reach, and shared commitment to youth development, this combined council ensures consistent program quality, enhanced support for volunteers, and a lasting positive impact on communities throughout South Louisiana.

Please join us in congratulating Elizabeth K of Troop 1103 in Baton Rouge on earning the rank of Eagle Scout 🦅.

For her Eagle Scout project, Elizabeth refurbished the tree identification signs along the Trees and Trails path at the LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens ahead of the 15th annual Arbor Day celebration. After the event, she and her volunteers cleaned the signs, repainted and restained them, and reattached the descriptive plates.

Her project helped restore an educational feature that will benefit Botanic Gardens visitors for years to come. Congratulations, Elizabeth, on this outstanding achievement and your commitment to service.👏👏
