Tonight at High School Life Group, we spent time in Colossians 3 talking about what it means to “put off” the old self and “put on” the new.

To help bring it to life, Slater tried wearing an elementary students’ clothes — clothes that didn’t fit him and weren’t meant for him. In the same way, the old ways of thinking and living don’t fit who we are anymore in Christ.

Because of Jesus, we’ve been given a new identity. Now we get to choose to think, live, and respond according to that new self — putting on what fits who we are!

There is freedom in living out of who we already are in Christ. ❤️

“Put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.” — Colossians 3:10
