ArtWaves - The Community Arts Center on Mount Desert Island with 3 studios-Fine Arts, Crafts, & Dance We believe art should be engaging, approachable and fun.

ArtWaves is the member-supported, Community Arts Center in Maine's DownEast & Acadia Region. We're focused on making art accessible to all through events, workshops, and classes. Online, outdoors, and in our 4 spacious studios experience paint, charcoal, fiber, wax, ink in traditional and innovative ways. We have the only sprung floor dance studio on the island available to the community. Located next to the Town Hill Market, ArtWaves facilitates the coming together of teacher and student, artist and observer, in an attempt to blur the lines between them. Gift possibilities and skills that can last a lifetime! Don’t just observe art, engage it! Opportunities are available to honor special people by supporting the arts. Artwavesmdi.org
