Patch Anderson loves exploring creative ideas through a variety of mediums. An artist and lifelong learner, she is curious about how things work and believes art and creativity bring people together.
Originally from the West Coast, where she attended art school, Patch came to Mount Desert Island as a student at College of the Atlantic and soon became part of this island community.
An ArtWaves student and volunteer herself, she loves being part of a creative collective of people learning, experimenting, and growing. Having taught artists of all ages, she enjoys helping students build confidence while learning new skills.
Patch's favorite part of teaching is helping people discover something new, get their hands messy, and feel pride in what they create. She's excited to welcome students of all backgrounds to ArtWaves. Whether you're trying something for the first time or returning to a favorite craft, Patch encourages curiosity over perfection and can't wait to see you in her next workshop Friday June 5!
There is something magical about a birch grove. Maybe it's the sense of light, maybe the texture, or even the distinctive black and white patterns. Imagine the WOW factor when you add in the coast or mountains and put it all together in stained glass.
Here is your chance to work with ArtWaves' glorious assortment of glass colors and textures! Learn to design, cut, grind, and go home with a finished stained glass mosaic piece. Connect and create while you nip the glass and watch it all come together.
All materials and tools are included, with step-by-step instructions and a touch of merriment. No experience necessary - perfect for beginners, and professional artists.
