Behind every successful STEM program is a team of mentors, leaders, and role models dedicated to making a difference. ✨

Training day brought together our internship college leads and mentors as we prepare for another summer of learning, leadership, and opportunity.

Their guidance, support, and commitment help create the experiences that inspire students to explore STEM, build confidence, and imagine what's possible for their future.

We're excited for the impact this team will make in the months ahead. πŸš€

The numbers don't lie β€” representation in STEM is growing πŸ“ˆ

Underrepresented minorities now make up 24% of the U.S. STEM workforce, up from 18% in 2011 (NSF/NCSES, 2024). But the gap is real: Black women are just 2% of the science & engineering workforce, and women of color hold only 3% of lab leadership roles.

The opportunity? STEM careers are projected to grow 6% by 2034 β€” nearly twice the rate of other fields. Data science alone is projected to grow 34% (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics).

Researchers like Dr. Tonya Webb (University of Maryland School of Medicine) and PhD candidate Alena McQuarter are proof of what's possible. Our students are next. πŸ’œ

Final drone testing before the AI & Coding Internship begins. 🚁

Every flight is checked, tested, and prepared before internship season officially takes off.

What looks like a simple drone flight is actually the foundation for hands-on learning in coding, artificial intelligence, problem-solving, and emerging technology.

We're excited for another summer of innovation, exploration, and real-world STEM experiences.

🚁 Final drone testing before our AI & Coding Internship takes flight.

What looks like a simple drone flight is actually the beginning of something bigger: problem-solving, coding, innovation, and hands-on STEM learning.

We're preparing the next generation of creators, engineers, and technology leaders one flight at a time.

The future isn't waiting. Neither are we. πŸš€

At STEMcx, students don't just read about science, they experience it.

Through hands on experiments, students learn how to ask questions, think critically, solve problems, and explore the world around them. Every activity is an opportunity to build confidence, spark curiosity, and discover new possibilities.

Because today's experiment could inspire tomorrow's scientist, engineer, doctor, or innovator.

Imagine discovering your future career like this πŸ€–

At STEMcx, students don't just learn about STEM careers, they experience them.

Through hands on activities, mentorship, and real-world STEM exposure, students get the opportunity to explore interests, build confidence, and discover what's possible for their future.

Today's robotics activity could be the spark that inspires tomorrow's engineer, programmer, inventor, or entrepreneur.

Because when students can see it, they can believe it. And when they believe it, they can become it.

Water play + STEM learning = the perfect combination πŸ’¦πŸš€

Our students learned about Lonnie Johnson, the brilliant engineer and inventor behind the Super Soaker, and explored how creativity, engineering, and innovation can turn ideas into inventions that change the world.

Then, they put the fun into STEM with their own water play activities inspired by his invention. 🌊✨

Because at STEMcx, learning STEM should feel exciting, hands on, and unforgettable.
