🐐🦆🐝 **A Blessing for Our Furry, Feathered, and Buzzing Friends!** 💚🌿

This evening, Father Alex from the Catholic Community of South Baltimore visited Filbert Street Garden to bless our animals in honor of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and ecology. 🙏🐾

The ducks were very happy, the goats were VERY confused, and as for the bees… well, they were far too busy buzzing around to tell us what they thought! 😂🐝

We’re so grateful to Father Alex for sharing this special moment with us and blessing all the wonderful creatures that make our garden such a unique and beautiful place. 🌻💚

🌱💚 **Our Last Open Volunteer Day of 2026!** 💚🌱

What a wonderful way to wrap up our volunteer days for the year! 🥹🌿 A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to lend a hand and help our garden continue to grow!

🌟 **Shoutout to our returning volunteers!** Katie, Sky, and Max have shown up for THREE MONTHS IN A ROW! 🎉 We’re so grateful for their continued dedication and can’t wait to welcome them back in 2027!

💚 We also had some new faces join us this month! A warm welcome to Ms. Rodette, Rob, and Jake. We’re so happy you came out and got your hands dirty with us!

🌿 Here’s what we accomplished together:
🧄 Planted garlic for the seasons ahead
🪴 Cleaned up and refreshed our garden beds
🫑 Harvested fresh beans and peppers
🌳 Planted a beautiful Sweetbay Magnolia tree!

Every volunteer, every seed planted, and every helping hand makes a difference. Thank you for being part of the Filbert Street Garden community and helping us grow something special together! 🌻💚

That’s a wrap on our 2026 open volunteer days, but we’ll see you in the garden in 2027! 🌱✨

🐾🧡 **A BITTERSWEET UPDATE FROM THE GARDEN!** 🧡🐾

Hello, everyone! 🥹💕 It’s with a heart full of happiness and just a little sadness that we share the news that **Pumpkin Spice has officially been adopted!** 🎉🐱🏡

While we’re going to miss seeing her sweet face around the garden, we couldn’t be happier that she’s found a loving home where she can be spoiled, cherished, and loved just as she deserves. ❤️

Pumpkin Spice has been a special part of our garden family, and saying goodbye is never easy. But this is what we hope for every animal that comes into our lives: a safe, loving home and a family of their very own. 🐾✨

We’re sending Pumpkin Spice off with so much love and wishing her a lifetime of cozy naps, treats, cuddles, and new adventures! 🧡🎃

**Once a part of the Filbert Street Garden family, always a part of our family!** 🌻🐾

Help us wish Pumpkin Spice a happy new beginning in the comments! 🥰👇

🍽️ **St. Peter’s was at it again! ❤️**

Today, they prepared another beautiful meal completely from scratch! Turkey meatloaf burgers, garlic string beans, mashed potatoes, turkey sandwiches, AND a delicious homemade cake that we’ll be finishing up on Tuesday. 😋

And of course, we can’t forget about Pumpkin! 🐱❤️ Dominic made a special turkey burger **just for Pumpkin**—even though he’s terrified of her! 😂🐾

What a sweet parting gift from her St. Peter’s friends. We’re so grateful for the love, time, and care they continue to pour into our garden and community. 💚🌱

Thank you, St. Peter’s, for always showing up and helping us feed our community! 🫶🏾
