A MEMORY CAFE

Take time out of your day to relax, socialize, and meet people who are experiencing the challenges of memory loss or caring for someone who is. This month's cafe will feature a craft activity led by two local artists passionate about sharing their creativity with the community. Coffee, tea, and light snacks will be served.

All guests with memory loss are welcome, no matter the underlying condition or stages of disease. Care partners can include spouses, children, friends, and professional caregivers. This is not a drop off program.

These cafes are presented by HRB, Island Volunteer Caregivers, Bloedel Reserve, Bainbridge Island Senior Center, and The Aubin Aphasia Speech & Language Center, LLC.

Thanks Bainbridge Grave Folk by Ashley Riley for your work to capture our community’s stories!

Incredibly excited and honored to be featured in the Bainbridge Island Review! I'm so grateful for the chance to help share and preserve the histories of our island cemeteries.

Thank you Katherine Bouma for writing this article, which is not only beautifully written but also perfectly encapsulates the history and spirit behind Bainbridge Grave Folk. It is truly an honor to have this story told.

I am thrilled that the article mentions our local Daughters of the American Revolution Elizabeth Ellington Chapter, Bainbridge Island Genealogical Society, the Bainbridge History Museum, the Bainbridge Island Senior Center Podcast, PNW Bainbridge, and the B.I.STANDER PODCAST. It also mentions the fantastic work of fellow DAR member and island preservationist Amy Brooks. These people and organizations are truly doing amazing work promoting the history and stories of our Bainbridge Island community.
