We are halfway there! Help us reach our goal of $14,000 by supporting our Open Doors Program through Bainbridge Gives. Closes this Friday!

Bainbridge Gives is an annual Bainbridge Community Foundation initiative that raises funds for critical needs identified by our local nonprofits.

This year, we're asking for support for our Open Doors Program, which provides free tickets to BPA-produced events, ensuring cost is not a barrier to arts access for our community.

If you too believe that the arts are for everyone, and wish to consider supporting this program, we would be so grateful for your partnership. Join us, through Bainbridge Gives, by this Friday, June 12th.

As the final curtain fell on American Idiot, we also marked the end of another important chapter here at BPA: Matt Longmire officially wrapped up his role as BPA’s Marketing & Communications Director at the end of March, and remained with us through the run of American Idiot as part of the artistic team, making this production a momentous final chapter in his six-year journey with BPA.

Over the years, Matt has left a meaningful mark on this organization in so many ways. He was a key member of the campaign team, whose dedication helped turn the dream of The Buxton Center into a reality. He played an enormous role in shaping BPA’s brand, visual identity, and community presence, helping tell the story of who we are and how we connect with our community. His impact reached far beyond marketing and communications. Over the years, he brought his creativity and talents into many areas of BPA life: from projection design to dialect coaching, he's worn many hats and brought thoughtfulness and care to all of them.

Matt was also instrumental in developing our Nonprofit Spotlight Partnership program, creating meaningful connections between BPA and other organizations doing important work in our community, so it feels especially fitting that he now steps into a new role as Community Impact Officer at Bainbridge Community Foundation, where he’ll continue helping strengthen and support local nonprofits.

Matt, thank you for six years of dedication, and for the many ways you’ve helped shape BPA into what it is today. We’re incredibly grateful for everything you’ve contributed, and we’re wishing you all the best in this exciting next chapter.

A message from BSO Conductor Ryan Dakota Farris:
"It's been a truly unforgettable season with the Bainbridge Symphony, and our final concert is one you definitely won't want to miss! I'm thrilled to welcome back violinist Yvette Kraft to perform Samuel Barber's beautiful Violin Concerto. Yvette last played with the BSO in May 2024, and since then she has won a position as first violin with the San Francisco Symphony. After intermission we will present the Bainbridge Island première of Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 6 in B minor, the "Pathétique". This will be the BSO's first ever performance of this masterpiece, considered of one of the most dramatic and emotional pieces of music ever written. I hope you will join us for this incredible journey!"
