As the final curtain fell on American Idiot, we also marked the end of another important chapter here at BPA: Matt Longmire officially wrapped up his role as BPA’s Marketing & Communications Director at the end of March, and remained with us through the run of American Idiot as part of the artistic team, making this production a momentous final chapter in his six-year journey with BPA.
Over the years, Matt has left a meaningful mark on this organization in so many ways. He was a key member of the campaign team, whose dedication helped turn the dream of The Buxton Center into a reality. He played an enormous role in shaping BPA’s brand, visual identity, and community presence, helping tell the story of who we are and how we connect with our community. His impact reached far beyond marketing and communications. Over the years, he brought his creativity and talents into many areas of BPA life: from projection design to dialect coaching, he's worn many hats and brought thoughtfulness and care to all of them.
Matt was also instrumental in developing our Nonprofit Spotlight Partnership program, creating meaningful connections between BPA and other organizations doing important work in our community, so it feels especially fitting that he now steps into a new role as Community Impact Officer at Bainbridge Community Foundation, where he’ll continue helping strengthen and support local nonprofits.
Matt, thank you for six years of dedication, and for the many ways you’ve helped shape BPA into what it is today. We’re incredibly grateful for everything you’ve contributed, and we’re wishing you all the best in this exciting next chapter.
