Kenzi's Causes Kenzi's Causes works to support underprivileged children and their families in Colorado. This event is free to any family in need.

Our Toy Shop program donates thousands of new toys to children ages birth to 18 in 6 communities in Colorado each holiday season. Any child/family in need is able to participate in our Annual Toy Shop program. Kenzi’s Kidz relieves some of the financial burdens of at least one, low-income family pro-actively taking the necessary steps to create a stable environment for their children. The program

plans to give each child the fundamental items needed to succeed in school such as school supplies, clothing, extracurricular activities as well as birthday and holiday gifts for a year. Our Packz4Kidz program provides new backpacks full of school supplies to children in pre-school-12th grade. We host giveaway events in 4 communities in Colorado each school year. Every child deserves to feel celebrated on their birthday. Not just acknowledged. Celebrated.

Through our Kenzi's Kidz program, we get to make that happen for children across the Denver metro area and Colorado who might otherwise go without. We show up with a birthday box, a card, and the simple but powerful message that someone in their community thought about them today.

Some of these kids have been with us for years. We have watched them grow from little ones into young people with big personalities and even bigger futures. We know their names. We know what makes them light up. And we show up for them not just in August, but every single month of the year.

That kind of consistent, community-rooted support for Colorado children is what Kenzi's Kidz is built on. And it is made possible entirely by the generosity of people who believe every child deserves to feel seen.

There are days in this work that are hard. Days when the need feels bigger than the resources. Days when you look at the number of Colorado children living in poverty and wonder if what you are doing is ever enough.

And then a parent sends a message. A child waves at you from across the room at an event in Aurora or Denver. A volunteer comes back for the third year in a row because they felt the impact firsthand and could not stay away.

That is why we keep showing up. Not because it is easy. Because it matters. Because every child in the Denver metro area and across Colorado deserves to feel like someone in their community is fighting for them, not just in August during back to school season, but every single month of the year.

Kenzi's Causes has been serving Colorado families for nearly two decades. And as long as there are children who need support, we will keep showing up for them.

Kenzi’s Causes has always been powered by community.

Every backpack build, every birthday celebration, every holiday program, every volunteer shift, and every child we serve is made possible because people across Colorado choose to show up.

Packz4Kidz is one of the largest free school supply giveaway programs in Colorado, and it exists because of a community that keeps showing up. Donors who give. Volunteers who sort and pack. Families in the Denver metro area and across the state who trust us to show up for their kids.

This is what Packz4Kidz 2026 looked like. And we are already thinking about how to make 2027 even bigger.

Applications for Sportz4Kidz close at 11:59pm on August 20, 2026, for this quarter. We will have applications one more time before the end of the year.

1. You can apply for funding for all of your kids using your email address now. You must submit one application for each child. If you do not complete all applications by the deadline, we will not be able to fund additional children this round.

2. I have begun to review and approve applications. I am approving applications that follow the directions completely. Meaning: I know the full amount requested, how many months you need support, and whether you need gear and what that gear is.

3. Your approval email will come directly from Chek. This will also include access to the funds you requested. If you didn't request enough, we cannot go back and update the request.

Some of the most meaningful moments never make it into a photo.

They happen months after an event ends, when a family realizes they haven’t been forgotten.

They happen when a parent reaches out because life has become overwhelming again and knows there is still someone to call. They happen when a child opens a birthday gift and realizes someone remembered. They happen when a family feels like they belong to a community instead of navigating life’s challenges alone.

That’s what long-term support creates.

At Kenzi’s Causes, our goal has never been to simply meet a need for one day. It’s to build relationships that remind children and families they have a community behind them through every season of life.

Those relationships are only possible because people continue to invest in this work long after the backpack giveaways and holiday events are over.

Because of the generosity of our community, thousands of children across Colorado walked into the school year with the supplies they needed and the confidence that comes with feeling prepared.

Every backpack distributed through Packz4Kidz represents the kindness of donors, volunteers, business partners, and community members who chose to invest in a child's future.

Together, we reached children and families in Denver, Colorado Springs, Grand Junction, Pueblo, and communities across the state, helping make the first day of school a little less stressful and a lot more hopeful.

The need doesn't end when backpack season is over, and neither does our commitment to Colorado children and families.
