Great job Auburn Public Theater and Chef Nick for organizing such an impressive program! The food was outstanding and the youth were so attentive to their guests, you could tell they were having a blast while learning culinary skills and healthy food habits that will last a lifetime. We're grateful to be part of it in a small way, thanks to funding through the Cayuga County Youth Bureau.

This 4-H Cayuga County youth project brings joy to our hearts! Thanks to the youth and youth leaders involved in creating healthy food access for those in need through container gardening. These veggie containers will be distributed to seniors in Moravia and Weedsport, and through CAP Community Action. Funds from the Cayuga County Youth Bureau helped make this project possible. We're inspired by the opportunity to support impactful projects like this - by youth, for youth, advancing sustainable solutions to hunger and malnutrition.

We had a great time connecting with Cayuga County students about opportunities in the food and agriculture industry at this year’s Food Systems Career Day at Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES. We're excited to announce our first Youth Growing Project grant for Booker T. Washington Community Center to expand its Community Garden! This project provides youth with early hands-on learning experiences to help foster lasting healthy eating habits and self-sufficiency. Through the garden, BTW staff and volunteers engage children in learning how to grow their own food. Youth will learn cultivation, preservation, and basic food preparation skills they can apply across households and generations.

Thanks to the Cayuga County Youth Bureau for supporting our mission to accelerate an end to hunger and malnutrition around the world and here at home through positive youth development and collective action.
