Auburn Public Theater (APT) is a non-profit, multi-venue community arts center that brings original stage productions, national touring acts, live music, comedians, films and plays to our 200-seat Main Stage, 65-seat cinema and 80-seat cabaret space for compelling and diverse programming throughout the year. APT offers free arts education in music and filmmaking to after school programs and commun

Nine years ago today, Wynton Marsalis and his terrifically talented band performed at the Skaneateles Festival. Auburn Public Theater, in collaboration with Booker T. Washington’s summer youth education program, attended with this particular group of youngsters. There was plenty of candy and popcorn to go around and a requisite amount of giggling and joking kept the space around our blanket light and sparkly. Oh, and when one of the band members stopped by before the concert to say hello and shake hands with each one of us? That was a definite highlight. And then, of course, there was the music…

PSA: An update about our Box Office hours:
We are proud to partner with Seatfun, a company co-founded by an Auburn, NY native, that offers premier customer service and instant payouts. At this time, you are able to purchase tickets via credit card online or over the phone only. Printed tickets will be available soon. Do not hesitate to call with any questions.

Since we cannot print tickets at this time, our Box Office hours will be temporarily paused. We will be answering our phone throughout the week instead to assist you with your ticket purchasing needs.

It's Monday afternoon, so we know you're itching to know what fun things are in store this week at Auburn Public Theater.

We have Some Like it Hot playing in our Cinema Space this Tuesday at 1PM and 6PM.

Word (updated), Poetry For All, takes place in Stage Right this Tuesday at 5PM.

And the documentary about Auburn Correctional Facility, Human Again, is streaming in our Cinema Space this Sunday evening at 7PM. Thanks to a generous donor, this event remains free and open to the public.

So go ahead, chase those Monday blues away by opening up our website, finding an event you want to go to, and getting your ticket/s!
