re:loom - Work Day
re:loom employs and empowers homeless and low income individuals through weaving beautiful, original products from up-cycled materials.
re:loom has a basement full of donated weaving equipment, and we are beginning the process of rehoming some of the larger looms there over the coming year. We need volunteers to help us move, clean, and photograph these looms for resale.
Next re:loom Workday: Saturday, June 27
Colleen Casey plans to host a workday on the 4th Saturday of every month moving forward. The current goals are:
We will move several larger looms (including some 50" plus 8-shaft models) to the front to be photographed so we can begin finding them new homes.
We will continue hunting for smaller equipment. Much of our warping gear is currently missing parts, likely hidden elsewhere in the basement.
Details:
Location: 3032 North Decatur Road
Time: 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM (Monthly on the 4th Saturday)
