We are always grateful for our partners at Accenture for their support and choosing us for their Days of Service! Not only did they sort enough food for almost 7,500 meals, but their gift will help provide 36,000 meals to neighbors in need. Thank you for your support in the fight against hunger!

Juneteenth, June 19, 1865, commemorates the day when the last enslaved African Americans learned of their freedom, and it has long been celebrated as a “Jubilee,” a time of liberation, restoration, and joy. In honor of this day, our Food Bankers wore HBCU apparel, recognizing institutions founded during and after Reconstruction to educate and uplift newly freed Black Americans, or Divine 9 fraternity and sorority gear, representing organizations created during segregation to build community, leadership, and service.

The Food Bank and its Community Food Centers will be closed Friday, June 19th - Sunday, June 21st in observance of the holiday. Operations will resume Monday, June 22nd.

The Atlanta Community Food Bank received a $32,000 grant from the Morgan Stanley Foundation to support school pantry programs across metro Atlanta and north Georgia. The Food Bank is one of 33 Feeding America partner food banks receiving funding from the Morgan Stanley Foundation this year, as part of its long-standing commitment to supporting children’s health in communities nationwide.
