After three unsuccessful treatment attempts over the past two years, Monica's journey took a hopeful turn.

Referred for a clinical trial 7 hours from her home in Concord, NC, she’ll be making weekly trips to Nashville at first, then monthly visits to Sarah Cannon Research Institute.

Thanks to volunteer pilots like Mark ready to lend a hand, distance won't stand in the way of compassionate care! ✈️❤️

What you get back is so much more than you give!

Pilots crave the skies, while patients seek vital care far from home. Pilots that enjoy the thrill of flying can help patients gain access to essential medical care, no matter the distance.

Arney was diagnosed with heart failure and learned he needed a transplant. His health challenges kept him close to home in Greenville SC, but didn’t stop his journey toward recovery. With approvals for Vanderbilt Health in Nashville and testing at Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, hope was on the horizon!

Thankfully, the miracle news came late one night - and volunteer Angels answered the call to help! Arney was flown by an Angel Flight volunteer pilot to Nashville to receive a heart and is now going for follow up care!

Missions Inspiring Purpose

The compassion we give to other people is life changing.

Volunteer pilots donate their time and airplane to help patients get to the doctor. In life's toughest moments, it is comforting to know there are those willing to help.

Angel Flight Soars has been assisting patient families for decades, covering distances of 100 to 1,000 miles for essential medical care.

Dennis has been flying with AFS volunteer pilots for almost 7 years to get receive specialized care at Emory Healthcare in Atlanta GA. Because of air travel, he can get to his appointment from Brunswick GA and back home in the same day!

These selfless volunteer pilots truly earn their halos by bridging the gap between distance and hope! ✈️
