FAHM was proud to be represented at the Georgia FSA Leadership Summit last Sunday at Emory 🤍
Our sincere thanks to Tyler Edwards and the Georgia FSA for welcoming us into this meaningful space.

This year’s theme, Pusong Uuwi: The Hearts of Filipino-American Diaspora, reflects the shared experiences of Filipinos navigating identity, movement, and connection across borders. These conversations closely align with the mission of Filipino American History Month honoring the stories shaped by migration, resilience, and community, and to keep those narratives alive across generations.

FAHM also recognizes the importance of student involvement in sustaining our culture. Joining Filipino student organizations and community groups is one of the most meaningful ways to immerse in our heritage, learn our roots, and stay connected to the broader Filipino community. These spaces allow young leaders to explore identity, build relationships, and carry our traditions forward in ways that continue to evolve.

Please let us know if you want to be a part of FAHM 2026 ❤️

A long-overdue debrief, finally done.

Life got busy (holidays will do that), but coming together again reminded us why FAHM 2025 was so special. It was a beautiful, successful celebration of culture, community, and collaboration. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who made it happen.

Planning early for FAHM 2026 is officially underway. We’re carrying the wins, learning from what we can improve, and dreaming even bigger for 2026. 🌱

Our heartfelt thanks to Ms. Doddy Ward for opening her beautiful home to us. Always a good conversation, and shared purpose. Truly grateful. 🤍

Onward and upward this is just the beginning. 🇵🇭

Every year, we put up our Christmas tree at Fernbank Museum — and it’s officially up! We went last Sunday, and it always feels magical seeing it come to life again. ❤️

Here’s to another year of traditions, memories, and holiday cheer. 🎅🏽✨

Committee Spotlight: Josephine “Arjho” Turner

A proud Filipina of Blaan, Ilocano, and Waray heritage, Arjho is a leader, mom, and avid volunteer in the Filipino community based in Smyrna, GA.

Currently Executive Assistant to Cobb County Chairwoman Lisa Cupid, CEO of ACT International Consulting, and a committee member of Filipino American History Month (FAHM) Georgia, Arjho champions good governance, sustainability, and Indigenous empowerment through initiatives like the Luntiang Lumad Project and KafyeBlaan Empowerment, Inc.

Her cultural pieces are featured at the Fernbank Museum’s “Reflections of Culture” (2024–2026). A multi-awarded leader—including Georgia’s 25 Most Influential Asian Americans (2023)—Arjho continues to empower communities and celebrate Filipino heritage worldwide. 💚🇵🇭
