With over three decades of experience in community development, economic growth, and cross-sector collaboration, she has dedicated her career to strengthening partnerships between organizations, businesses, and communities to drive sustainable impact and opportunity.

Through her work in CRA banking, affordable housing finance, and community development, she has consistently championed initiatives that expand access, empower entrepreneurs, and build stronger local economies.

We are honored to welcome State Representative Marvin Lim (Marvin Lim) as a speaker at the AIM Policy & Advocacy Conference 2026.

Rep. Lim’s story is one of service, perseverance, and the power of opportunity. After immigrating to Georgia from the Philippines as a child, he experienced firsthand how community support and public programs can help families build a better future. Those experiences would later shape his passion for advocacy and public service.

Today, he serves in the Georgia House of Representatives, where he works on behalf of the residents of District 98 while bringing a background in civil rights law, community advocacy, and public policy to the legislative process.

From supporting refugees and immigrants to helping shape policies that impact communities across Georgia, Rep. Lim understands both the personal and systemic sides of advocacy. His perspective offers valuable insight into how leadership, representation, and civic engagement can create lasting change.

If you’re passionate about policy, community impact, and the future of public leadership, this is a conversation you won’t want to miss.

We are excited to highlight The Nigerian Center (Nigerian Center) as one of our incredible sponsors making the AIM Policy & Advocacy Conference 2026 possible.

The Nigerian Center serves Nigerian and African immigrant communities through legal representation, immigrant navigation, tax and financial inclusion resources, cultural programming, and community partnerships.

Their work continues to strengthen access, stability, and opportunity across the diaspora, and we deeply value their commitment to advancing civic engagement, entrepreneurship, and meaningful community impact.

With their support, we are moving beyond standard networking to create an environment where communities, leaders, and institutions actively shape long-term community direction.

Winning a right on paper is only half the battle. Having the organized power to actually enforce it is what changes lives. ✨

In exactly 5 days, we are closing the gap between the laws being written and our community’s everyday reality in Georgia. We are bringing together a powerful network of diaspora professionals, business owners, and visionaries to command the respect our community deserves.

This is where we shift the narrative from simply being present in Georgia to building undeniable systemic influence.

Meet Adriana Helenek (Adriana Helenek), one of the speakers joining us at the AIM Policy & Advocacy Conference 2026.

For decades, Adriana has worked to ensure that immigrant communities are not only represented but actively engaged in the civic life of the communities they call home. Her work has brought together community leaders, public officials, nonprofit organizations, and residents around issues that impact immigrant families every day.

From organizing large-scale cultural and community events to supporting outreach initiatives that connect communities with resources and opportunities, Adriana has dedicated much of her career to building bridges across cultures, institutions, and generations.

Her perspective is especially valuable in conversations about advocacy because it is rooted in years of direct community engagement, public service, and leadership. She understands the importance of helping communities move from being informed to being involved.

We’re honored to have Adriana join us as we explore the policies, partnerships, and civic engagement efforts that help strengthen our communities.

Many of us came here focused on building a better life…finding opportunities, supporting our families, growing our careers, and creating a future we can be proud of.

But being part of a community also means understanding the decisions that affect it.

The truth is, change doesn’t only happen during election season. It happens through ongoing conversations, local leadership, community engagement, and people who are willing to get involved.

That’s why the AIM Policy & Advocacy Conference 2026 is creating a space for African immigrants, community leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, and advocates to connect, learn, and engage.

If you’ve ever wondered how to move from simply being informed to becoming involved, this is a conversation worth being part of.
