Atlanta, we love seeing you out there running, riding, and staying active 💪🏾—but the heat can sneak up on you fast. Grady treats people every year for heat-related illnesses, and many of these cases are preventable.
If you're heading outside, keep these tips in mind:
💧 Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate
Don’t wait until you’re thirsty—drink water before, during, and after your workout.
👕 Dress for the heat
Choose light-colored, loose-fitting, sweat-wicking clothing to help reflect the sun and keep you cool.
🧢 Protect your skin and eyes
Hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen aren’t optional—they’re essential.
🍌 Fuel your body
The heat makes your body work harder, so make sure you're properly nourished before and after your activity.
Your health matters to us—stay safe so you can keep doing what you love ❤️
📢 Share this with your workout partners, running groups, and cycling crews to help prevent heat emergencies. Together, we can build a healthier Atlanta.
