Athens KTC Buddhist Meditation Center meets every Sunday, 10 - 11 am, for meditation and discussion

Sunday October 4- Athens KTC Buddhist Center holds a Chenrezig mantra practice. We meet at Serenity Roots 8950 Lavelle Rd., 10 to 11 am in the large yoga studio building. Chenrezig mantra practice is a profound meditation that cultivates compassion and lovingkindness. It is open to all and will be chanted in Tibetan, with handouts that include the English translation. We encourage you to attend. You may opt to simply listen and read along in English to become acquainted with the spirit of the meditation.

Each Thursday; Free and Open Meditation at United Campus Ministries, 18 N. College St. in their comfy living room. From noon until about 1:00. Sit with others in silent meditation to calm our minds and strengthen our spirits. This is a non-denominational, seated meditation with optional walking meditation. Hosted by Athens KTC for the general public. All are welcome! It's okay to come in late or leave early depending on your schedule. Questions? write [email protected]

Long Meditation this Sunday September 27; At Serenity Roots, 8950 Lavelle Rd, in the yoga studio building. From 10 to 11am, starting with 20 minutes quiet sitting meditation, (on chairs or floor cushions) then walking meditation (optional) followed by 20 minutes of sitting meditation. All welcome, no cost.

This will be a teaching about Buddhist practice. First, we sit for 20 minutes quiet meditation. Then the teaching. This is an important effort to build our capacity for kindness to all beings. We meet at Serenity Roots; 8950 Lavelle Rd.
