We’ll have items available to tie-dye, or you’re welcome to bring something of your own. Come get creative, spend time together, and enjoy a fun, family-friendly activity right in Glouster!

We’re so excited to bring more opportunities like this to our local communities through The Birth Circle’s Civic Project Grant!

Have an idea for a fun family event in your community? We’d love to help make it happen!

We still have openings for community members who would like to host an event in their own town or neighborhood.

Here’s how it works:

• You come up with a family-friendly event idea.
• The Birth Circle helps you plan it and brings the event to your community.
• We cover approved food, activities, and supplies up to the available funding amount.
• You even get paid for hosting!

You don’t have to be an experienced event planner. We’re looking for everyday community members who know their neighborhoods and want to bring families together.

Whether you’re in Glouster, Nelsonville, Coolville, Stewart, or another community in Athens County, we’d love to hear your ideas!

Forever Loved. Forever Remembered. 🕯️

Tonight, on Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day, we gathered at The Birth Circle’s memorial bench to honor and remember the precious babies who left us far too soon.

Surrounded by the quiet beauty of nature, we came together in remembrance, in honor of little lives that have left everlasting footprints on our hearts.

Tonight was a reminder that grief and love have no timeline. Whether a loss happened recently or many years ago, every baby deserves to be remembered, every story deserves to be heard, and every family deserves compassion and support.

To every family who has experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss, we see you. We honor your babies. And we hold space for your love and your grief.

As families around the world participate in the International Wave of Light, we join them in remembering the little lives that have forever changed ours.

Our memorial bench remains a place of remembrance, reflection, and love throughout the year. As a place where families can visit, sit quietly, and honor the babies they will forever carry in their hearts.

Thank you to those who joined us this evening and entrusted us with sharing this moment of remembrance.

Some lives are brief, but the love they leave behind lasts forever.

Tonight and always, we remember. 🩷💙

Tonight at 7:00 PM, people around the world will light candles in remembrance of babies whose lives have ended too soon.

Athens Birth Circle will gather at the Sells Park Memorial Bench.

🕯️ Two days until the Wave of Light

On Thursday, October 15, Athens Birth Circle will gather at the Sells Park Memorial Bench for a local candlelight vigil honoring babies whose lives ended too soon.

🕯️ Candle lighting begins at 7:00 PM

Bring a candle if you'd like, or simply come as you are. There is no right way to participate—whether you're remembering a baby, supporting someone you love, or simply holding space with our community.

Family life comes with so many changes, questions, joys, and challenges. Sometimes, it helps to know you're not navigating it all alone.

Athens Birth Circle is a community resource for individuals and families throughout their family-building journeys from pregnancy and birth to postpartum, parenting, and beyond.

Through community gatherings, programs, resources, and opportunities to connect, we're here to help families find support, share experiences, and build relationships with others in our community.

Whether you're expecting a baby, raising little ones, parenting older children, supporting a loved one, or simply looking to connect with your community, we'd love for you to get to know us.

Join us for We Don't Care Club, a peer support group for people navigating perimenopause and menopause.

It's a space to connect with others who get it, share experiences, and talk about the things that don't always come up in everyday conversation.

PREPARED PARENTS WORKSHOP CANCELED

Due to multiple community events happening throughout Athens County this weekend, including Ohio University’s Homecoming, we have made the decision to cancel our October 10th Prepared Parents Workshop. Our first two workshops of 2026 saw a wonderful increase in attendance compared to 2025, and we’re looking forward to building on that success!

Looking ahead to 2027, we’re exploring opportunities to bring Prepared Parents Workshops to more communities throughout Athens County and neighboring counties!

STEAM Play is a relaxed space where little ones can create, explore, play and learn while parents and caregivers can grab some coffee, connect with other adults, or just enjoy getting out of the house.
