Congratulations to Kelly Hatas and Jessica Stroh from Hocking Athens Perry Community Action for winning the Women of the Year Award through the Athens County Foundation. And many thanks to them both for choosing My Sister's Place as the beneficiary of the $500 grant associated with this award.

Kelly and Jessica, along with the Athens County Foundation and many other community members, are at the heart of the highly anticipated Sunset Shelter project. They have been working on creating a safe and compassionate space for our neighbors experiencing homelessness. We are proud to partner with these two dedicated women and join the ACF in honoring their work!

Pat Smith was a longtime advocate with My Sister's Place, assisting hundreds of survivors of domestic violence with protection orders and guidance through the court system. Pat kept our staff laughing with her countless stories and trademark style, often ending an anecdote with, "It was comical."

Our staff had lunch with Pat just a couple of weeks before her passing. We'll miss her dearly. Thank you for your work, Pat!
