🚨 TCFR Special Operations Dive Team Training Underway 🌊🤿

Tennessee City Fire Rescue is excited to begin training with several new members who have expressed an interest in joining our Special Operations Public Safety Dive Team.

Before earning a place on the team, each candidate will be required to complete a series of rigorous skill stations designed to evaluate their physical ability, water confidence, problem-solving skills, teamwork, and commitment to the demanding standards of public safety diving.

Only those who successfully complete the evaluation process will be selected to attend Public Safety Diver certification training . This ensures every member of our dive team is prepared to safely and effectively respond to water emergencies, recoveries, and other specialized rescue operations.

Becoming a Public Safety Diver requires dedication, discipline, and countless hours of training. We are proud of these members for taking the first step toward joining one of the most specialized response teams within TCFR.

Please join us in wishing these members the best of luck as they begin this challenging journey. We look forward to watching them grow and continue strengthening Tennessee City Fire Rescue’s Special Operations capabilities.

🚨 Motor Vehicle Crash Response 🚨

This morning at approximately 1:15 a.m., Tennessee City Fire Rescue was dispatched to the 1200 block of Grindstone Hollow Road for a reported single-vehicle crash.

Upon arrival, fire personnel located the crashed vehicle; however, no driver was found on the scene. After confirming there were no immediate hazards requiring fire department intervention, all responding fire units were canceled.

• Dickson County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO)
• Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP)

TCFR Training Night – Pump & Draft Operations

Last night, members of Tennessee City Fire Rescue conducted training focused on pump and draft operations.

Personnel rotated through multiple hands-on skill stations using Engine 51 and Tanker 51, practicing drafting operations, pump setup, water supply management, and other essential fireground skills. Regular training ensures our firefighters remain proficient with the equipment and techniques needed to provide the highest level of service to our community.

Training like this helps prepare our members to establish reliable water supplies in areas without hydrants, allowing us to deliver an effective fire attack when every second counts.

We are proud of the dedication our volunteers continue to show by investing their time in training to better serve the citizens of Tennessee City and the surrounding communities.

TCFR Response – Motor Vehicle Crash

Yesterday at approximately 3:35 p.m., Tennessee City Fire Rescue was dispatched to a single-vehicle rollover crash in the 1400 block of Yellow Creek Road.

Upon arrival, crews found a single vehicle that had come to rest upright with one occupant still inside. Fire personnel quickly gained access to the driver and began providing patient care alongside Dickson County EMS.

Crews also stabilized the scene and checked the vehicle for any potential hazards to ensure the safety of responders and the patient.

In addition to this incident, TCFR also responded to multiple emergency medical calls throughout the day, keeping our personnel busy serving the community.
