What a great day of service at TWU! The LTNP was excited to welcome several TWU college students who volunteered at today's mobile food pantry. A big shout-out to Dunkin' donuts for donating coffee, hot chocolate, and donuts. We had a wonderful day serving food boxes to our local community and could not have done it without the help of our amazing students and LTNP volunteers. Thank you to everyone who attended and gave their time to serve others. Your kindness and dedication truly make a difference.

Mobile Food Pantry Update: In 2026 LTNP made four Facebook posts regarding missed Mobile food Pantry appointments after families had confirmed their attendance. This month's mobile food pantry was held on September 26, 2026. Unfortunately, 18 families did not attend their scheduled appointments. As a result, 18 other families in need were unable to receive food assistance during that distribution. LTNP understand that circumstances can change. If you are unable to attend your scheduled mobile food pantry appointment, please call (423) 746-5215 as soon as possible to cancel. Doing so allows LTNP to offer that appointment slot to another family in need. LTNP would like to sincerely thank the families who called ahead to cancel their appointments. Your consideration helps ensure that food assistance reached other members of our community. To help us serve as many families as possible, please notify us of any cancellation no later than 10 am on the Friday before the scheduled mobile food pantry distribution. We also encourage everyone to follow LTNP on Facebook for important updates, announcements, and community resources. Thank you for your cooperation and helping us maximize the impact of our food assistance services with Chattanooga Area food Bank.

Today's TWU 2026 event was a wonderful success for the LTNP. We had the opportunity to connect with a very large number of new and returning students, and grateful to learn more about our mission on campus. Students enjoyed free food and drinks throughout the event, creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where meaningful conversations could happen. Many students were excited to discover the TWU offers a campus and community food pantry, and several visited the pantry afterward to experience student choice shopping and explore the wide variety of food available to them. It was a joy to meet so many students and to share how LTNP supports the TWU community. Today's turnout showed just how eager students are to engage, learn, and be part of something that strengthens our campus family. I want to thank all of our volunteers who participated today.

The Love Thy Neighbor Project food pantry will be closed today Tuesday, August 25, 2026, for community pantry services. There are no scheduled community appointments today. We will reopen for the community services on Thursday August 27, 2026, by scheduled appointments only. Today, Tennessee Wesleyan University (TWU) is hosting a meet and Greet event exclusively for college students on campus. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
