It was both a joy and honor to be joined by Food City CEO Steve Smith at our club meeting today!

Mr. Smith shared insight into the history, operations, and growth of his stores, as well as the business plans they follow, emphasizing Food City's practice of being locally owned and operated. Rusty Rollins, manager of Food City in Athens, also briefly shared his experience about the joy of working in the company.

Attendees shared their thanks with both Mr. Smith and Mr. Rollins for their spirit of giving and their consistent efforts to support communities across the South.

Help us support our local youth!! 🍽️

On Friday, September 18th, stop by and grab a pound of packaged pork and/or two bottles of Gus Bagley's Famous Sauce for only $12! We'll be set up at Market Park Pavilion in downtown Athens from 11am to 7pm (or until we sell out). All proceeds benefit the youth of our community.

It was a true honor and joy to be joined by Scenic City Trykes at today's meeting!

Scenic City Trykes is a nonprofit located in Chattanooga, TN, that understands the importance of equal opportunity for exercise and recreation for every child. Through providing adaptive tricycles to children with disabilities, they follow a vision in which every child experiences the joy of riding a bike. Today, two precious children from our community were presented with AmTrykes that our club purchased for them. We hope that these children have a blast riding their brand new bikes!

It was a pleasure to be joined by leaders of McMinn County's MADE Camp today, Lindsey Ferguson, Aryn Stewart, and Joe Barnett!

During MADE Camp, which was hosted by the McMinn County EDA, twenty-nine students explored what careers in manufacturing look like through exciting hands-on activities.

Thank you, Lindsey, Aryn, and Joe, for sharing insight into MADE Camp and reminding us of the importance of pouring into our local youth! We loved hearing how MADE Camp inspired the next generation of engineers and manufacturers!

WOW! What a great morning we had on Saturday! Athens, you sure know how to show up and show out! We are beyond thankful for each and every individual who attended our 66th Annual Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast, an event that helps us help the youth of Athens. 🥞

It may seem like some batter and syrup from the outside, but the impact of Saturday will extend far beyond the delicious breakfast we shared. THANK YOU to all who attended, served, and shared the word with others. Without you, none of this would be possible!

What a day on the course! Thanks to our amazing sponsors and every player who teed it up, the Athens Kiwanis Club raised more than $13,000 to support youth right here in our community.

These funds power scholarships, literacy initiatives, service projects, and leadership opportunities for local kids. Thank you for showing up, giving back, and making this tournament a success! ⛳
