UT Extension and our local Cattlemen's Association is working with Athens Regional Stockyard to hold the Southeast TN Heifer Sale in Athens on November 5th at 6 p.m. right before their regular sale at 7pm.

Sale will feature 55 Bred/First Calf Heifers. Some will
already have calves on their side. Video shows some that will be available.

Happy November! During 4-H Clubs this month we will be having the Public Speaking Contest. Winners from this contest will be given a "Golden Ticket" to advance to participate in the County Public Speaking Contest in December. We will also be collecting recycled ornaments for our service learning project. These ornaments will be used to decorate Christmas trees around the county. We've asked the students to create these ornaments with things around the house such as old CD's, sunglasses, pipe cleaners, light bulbs, ect.

Your McMinn County 4-H students elected officers in September. In October those officers began leading meetings. We are excited to watch them lead November clubs.

Get creative and learn the art of quilting with 4-H at Quilting Camp! This is a great opportunity to learn new skills, explore your creativity, and create something special to be proud of!

📍 Carson Springs Baptist Conference Center – Newport, TN
The cost for youth campers is $250, and an additional buddy may attend for $200. Please note that a $100 scholarship will be provided for each registered youth camper.

**This event is open to 6th - 12th grade 4-H'ers that have used a sewing machine before and can independently operate a sewing machine and sew an even ¼-inch seam allowance.
