💙 WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO | Meet Our Vice President, Nichole Dyer💙

“What keeps me connected to this work is knowing there is a need and being able to help in some way. I want children and families to know they are not alone. As children of God, we are called to help one another. Chains can be broken, hope can be restored, and lives can be changed when someone is willing to step in and make a difference.

As Jesus said in Matthew 9:37, *‘The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.’*”

At Foster Village East TN, we believe every child and family deserves to know they are seen, loved, and supported. 💙 Nichole reminds us that sometimes making a difference starts with simply showing up, meeting a need, and reminding a family that they don't have to walk their journey alone.

We are so thankful for Nichole and her heart for serving foster, kinship, and adoptive families in our community!

We had a fantastic turnout at Foster Village’s Community Workshop on Affordable Housing!

Around 20 engaged community members gathered to learn key insights on navigating today's housing market and home financing options.

A heartfelt thank you to our guest speaker panel for empowering our community with knowledge and actionable steps:

Robert West II - Keller Williams Athens

Esther McCowan (Senior Loan Officer)

Rebekah Bicknell (Mortgage Customer Account Manager, Tennessee Housing Development Agency)

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the discussion. When we equip our adults with resources, we create a better village for all! 🏘️

Stay tuned for our next community workshop on Tuesday, November 10th.
