🚨 AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO EVERY MAN IN RECOVERY HOUSING AND DISCIPLESHIP MINISTRIES! 🚨
DON’T TAKE FOR GRANTED THE OPPORTUNITY GOD HAS PLACED BEFORE YOU!
There is something happening across the recovery housing community that every man pursuing freedom and restoration needs to understand.
Recovery homes are closing. Organizations are restructuring. Financial challenges are forcing programs to shut their doors. Men who have been working hard to rebuild their lives are suddenly finding themselves without a place to call home.
Some of these men haven’t relapsed.
They haven’t violated the rules.
They haven’t abandoned their recovery.
Yet circumstances beyond their control have placed their housing, stability, and future in jeopardy.
NOW I WANT TO SPEAK DIRECTLY TO THE MEN OF REMNANT DISCIPLESHIP MINISTRIES.
If you woke up this morning with a roof over your head, a warm bed to sleep in, electricity, running water, a place to prepare your meals, transportation opportunities, and brothers surrounding you who are pursuing the same goal of rebuilding their lives, you have something worth being thankful for!
If you have leadership investing time, resources, prayer, and personal sacrifice into helping you become the man God created you to be, don’t overlook the opportunity standing right in front of you.
WHAT YOU HAVE TODAY IS SOMETHING SOMEONE ELSE IS PRAYING FOR!
There are men sitting in jail cells right now praying for another opportunity.
There are men sleeping on the streets who would give anything for a safe place to begin rebuilding their lives.
There are fathers who desperately want another opportunity to become the men their children need.
There are husbands longing to restore relationships destroyed by years of addiction.
And there are men who would gladly embrace the very structure and accountability that others sometimes complain about.
DON’T ALLOW A TEMPORARY INCONVENIENCE TO BLIND YOU TO AN ETERNAL OPPORTUNITY!
Yes, we have rules.
Yes, we have expectations.
Yes, we believe in accountability.
Yes, we expect you to work, contribute financially, participate in discipleship, respect the house, and take responsibility for your decisions.
But understand something:
THE STRUCTURE IS NOT HERE TO PUNISH YOU. IT IS HERE TO HELP PREPARE YOU!
We are not trying to control your life.
We are trying to help you develop the discipline, integrity, responsibility, and biblical foundation necessary to live a life of freedom.
Because freedom without responsibility can quickly become another form of bo***ge.
And deliverance without discipleship leaves a man vulnerable to returning to the very things God brought him out of.
Jesus said:

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”
At Remnant Discipleship Ministries, we are not interested in simply helping men remain sober.
WE WANT TO SEE MEN COMPLETELY TRANSFORMED THROUGH JESUS CHRIST!
We want to see fathers restored to their children.
Husbands reconciled with their families where reconciliation is possible and healthy.
Men developing a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ.
Men learning how to work, manage money, honor commitments, and live with integrity.
Men discovering their God-given identity, purpose, and calling.
And men becoming disciples who will one day help disciple others.
But none of this happens without personal responsibility.
YOU CANNOT EXPECT A TRANSFORMED LIFE WHILE CONTINUALLY RESISTING THE PROCESS OF TRANSFORMATION!
You cannot keep making excuses for the very behaviors that contributed to the destruction of your life.
You cannot demand trust while refusing to demonstrate trustworthiness.
You cannot expect financial stability while refusing to develop financial responsibility.
You cannot expect healthy relationships while continuing to practice dishonesty, manipulation, and selfishness.
And you cannot expect spiritual maturity while continually resisting correction and biblical instruction.

“Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.”
THE PROCESS MAY BE UNCOMFORTABLE, BUT THE FRUIT IS WORTH IT!
Let me also make something clear.
At Remnant Discipleship Ministries, we understand that rebuilding a life is not easy.
We recognize that some men arrive carrying years of addiction, trauma, broken relationships, incarceration, rejection, and personal failure.
We understand that restoration takes time.
We are not demanding perfection.
WE ARE ASKING FOR HONESTY, HUMILITY, ACCOUNTABILITY, AND A WILLINGNESS TO GROW!
There will be difficult days.
There will be moments of frustration.
There will be correction.
There will be responsibilities you don’t necessarily enjoy.
But don’t confuse someone holding you accountable with someone being against you.
Sometimes the people who love you enough to confront destructive behavior are the very people God is using to help you change.
đź“– Proverbs 27:6 KJV
“Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.”
And to every man who is struggling financially, emotionally, or spiritually, understand this:
DON’T SUFFER IN SILENCE. COMMUNICATE. BE HONEST. ASK FOR HELP.
There is a difference between a man who is genuinely struggling and a man who refuses to take responsibility.
Our desire is to help you succeed, not to watch you fail.
But we cannot help you confront what you continually choose to conceal.
BROTHERHOOD REQUIRES HONESTY. DISCIPLESHIP REQUIRES HUMILITY. AND TRANSFORMATION REQUIRES SURRENDER!
Now let me speak to those of us who lead recovery homes and discipleship ministries.
We also have a responsibility.
These men are not merely occupants filling beds.
They are not simply weekly dues or financial obligations.
They are fathers, sons, husbands, brothers, and individuals whose lives have tremendous value.
We must never allow financial pressures, administrative responsibilities, or the challenges of operating a ministry to cause us to lose sight of the people God has called us to serve.
WE MUST PRACTICE THE SAME INTEGRITY, ACCOUNTABILITY, AND COMPASSION THAT WE EXPECT FROM THE MEN WE DISCIPLE!
Leadership is stewardship.
And stewardship requires faithfulness.
📖 1 Peter 5:2–3 KJV
“Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.”
Our goal is not to create men who remain dependent upon Remnant Discipleship Ministries.
OUR GOAL IS TO RAISE UP MEN WHO ARE ROOTED IN CHRIST, ESTABLISHED IN TRUTH, EQUIPPED FOR LIFE, AND PREPARED TO WALK IN FREEDOM!
So to every man currently living at Remnant Discipleship Ministries:
Be thankful for the opportunity.
Respect the house.
Honor your commitments.
Take your discipleship seriously.
Develop a strong work ethic.
Be financially responsible.
Be accountable to your brothers.
Receive correction with humility.
And above everything else, pursue Jesus Christ with your whole heart!
DON’T JUST OCCUPY A BED. EMBRACE THE OPPORTUNITY TO BUILD A NEW LIFE!
One day, your time at Remnant will come to an end.
And when that day comes, our prayer is that you will walk out those doors a different man than the one who walked in.
Not simply sober.
Not simply employed.
Not simply financially stable.
But a man whose life has been transformed by the power of Jesus Christ.
A man of integrity.
A man of responsibility.
A man of faith.
A man who understands that freedom is not merely something to celebrate, but something to walk in daily.

🔥 DON’T TAKE YOUR OPPORTUNITY FOR GRANTED!
🔥 DON’T DESPISE THE PROCESS THAT IS HELPING PREPARE YOU!
🔥 DON’T ALLOW TEMPORARY FRUSTRATION TO COST YOU LONG-TERM RESTORATION!
BE GRATEFUL. STAY HUMBLE. REMAIN ACCOUNTABLE. DO THE WORK. PURSUE CHRIST!
