We were honored to attend Mercy Health Center’s celebration recognizing their selection as the Athens Area Community Foundation’s 2025 Nonprofit of the Year.

It was a wonderful evening spent celebrating an organization that has faithfully served our community for 25 years through compassionate, quality healthcare for underserved neighbors. The impact Mercy Health Center has made is a testament to the dedication of its staff, volunteers, donors, and supporters.

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to celebrate being named Nonprofit of the Year by the Athens Area Community Foundation alongside so many friends, supporters, volunteers, partners, and neighbors who have made this ministry possible.

This recognition belongs to our entire community. Every volunteer hour, every donation, every prayer, every partnership, and every patient story has helped shape the last 25 years of Mercy.

We are deeply grateful for the support that allows us to demonstrate and share the love of Jesus through quality, whole-person healthcare to our underserved neighbors.

We did it! 🎉

Together, our community helped us reach our $50,000 matching gift goal before the end of May.

That means every dollar donated during the campaign will be doubled, resulting in $100,000 to support quality, whole-person healthcare for uninsured adults in our community.

A few spots remain in our Fall Behavioral Health Training Program at Mercy Health Center!

This Master's Level internship is a great opportunity for counseling and behavioral health students to gain hands-on clinical experience while serving alongside a multidisciplinary team committed to whole-person care.

Interns will receive supervision, clinical hours, faith-integrated care experience, and opportunities to work within an embedded medical setting.

We are so grateful for our partnership with the and for the opportunity to help support students in the Health Care Pathway through work-based learning opportunities at Mercy. It has been such a joy to get to know these students, watch them grow in confidence and experience, and encourage the next generation of healthcare professionals right here in our community.

This afternoon, Mercy Health Center had the honor of hosting the St. Mary’s External Community Relations Committee for their quarterly meeting. We are grateful to gather alongside so many organizations and leaders who are deeply committed to caring for our community well.

These conversations matter. When local organizations come together to share resources, strengthen partnerships, and talk honestly about gaps in care, our neighbors are better served because of it.
